Yeah. I see where you are coming from. It's not just juice flow, it's air flow too. Mine all struggle at anything over 25 watts. Even get dry hits at lower watts (16+) sometimes, however I wick it. I modified one for more juice flow, but the air flow lets it down. Still a go to RTA for all day use though. I run mine generally at 30 watts and don't get dry hits. Your doing something wrong, either your wicking it wrong or maybe setting your coil too low if your struggling for air To be fair I can't vape mine above 22/23w on my sigelei 30w mini but strangely I can get up to 28w on my old sigelei 30w tube mod

The one I modified overheats the coil, so is an air flow problem. I have tried different wicking too. The *pancake* method works best. On a mech I build at around 0.8-1 ohms. I might try higher ohms/thinner wire to see if that helps. The subtank mini is the only tank I am having trouble with, and it is the easiest to build

The pancake wicks are not that good. What you should be doig is the old style wicks up, sleeve on, wicks down then push the wicks into the centre away from the juice channels.
The wick pressed upwards on the pancake wick does NOTHING for you. Keep the wick down and away from the channels and you'll get much better results. More wick down helps prevent flooding, and since it's all clear of the juice channels you shouldn't get dry hits at under 50W. This works on the original decks and the new ones.

That maybe so for some people, and I don't doubt your experience, but, how long is your draw? I like to slow draw for 6-8 seconds.

It's the wife that uses them tim , I just build and wick em for her. She's like you long slow draws around the 6-8 sec region at about 35W

Think I need to check mine, it's vaping nicely but I got a LOT of spray dribbles which are quite hot on the inside of my lips

BTW, I've been using 2 stands of 0.2mm kanthal twisted around 0.5x0.1 ribbon. Much better than a single wire in the subtanks. Cools them down a bit compared to the 0.4mm wire I used before.

This site is a good place to start. They do wire and wicking material. As for wire thickness, try 0.4mm fir single strand or 2 strands 0.2 wire+0.5x0.1 ribbon twisted. The 0.4mm wire is easier to work with so is probably a better bet to get you started although I feel the twisted wire/ribbon vapes a bit better. It's hard to reccommenda wire gauge without knowing how you like your vape and what type of mod you are suing (regulated or mech)

I shall have a looksee! And may go for the twisted version you use.. I keep finding they're getting hot and burning the cotton with vg heavy juice if I don't pull hard enough
