I've vaped for almost three years.
I tried rebuildables in the past but couldn't ever get a decent coil made so stuck to protanks and bought heads with mocrocoils and cotton wicks.
I always vaped mouth to lung.
Then the coil winding jigs came out and a decided to finally bite the bullet and give it another go. Ordered one, and a lemo 2.
Took me a few hours to get up and running and I was about to throw it out the window but got there in the end (with some help from here) and wow. What an amazing difference.
Within an hour I was taking massive lung hits.
Used that basically full time for a few days and picked up the protank, for vapes later I knew it wasn't going to cut anymore it so got another rta for the little istick and plan to buy a subtank mini.
The difference is night and day. I've dropped my nic to 3mg (any higher and it just makes me dizzy).
The coil jig for me has changed the way I vape entirely. I have tried to make coils without it but they're absolutely awful and this knocks out a perfect coil in seconds. Without that I'd still be using protanks.
It's gotten me right back in to vaping. I was thinking of quitting and I know ideally that's the end goal but I do enjoy the hobby side of it and with great mods now being really affordable (the iSticks, the M80, cool fire 4 etc) I'm once again excited about being a vaper. And not just going through the motions.
It's never been about clouds for me always about finding the most satisfying vape. Now I find I vape less because when I do it's far more satisfying. I could go sub ohm and crank up the watts but I'm happy with 1.2-1.4ohms and around 15-20 watts.

I'll just do whatever. Sometimes, it takes a few puffs in the wrong way on a certain atomizer to realise something is up.

I do both. At work and out and about I mouth to lung. At home in the evenings depending how I feel I either fog the house out with a sub ohm tank or dripper or just have a relaxing vape with a rebuildable

I do both at work its an istick and mini nautilus MTL I've got down from 18mg to 12mg in the day time. At night time i like to relax with a nice coffee and use a dripper at 30 watts (a nice custard) mmmm direct to lung and that's on 3mg juice. Not into the clouds just good flavour for me, been 15 months now since my last stinkie and never looked back. This forum has given me so much help along my journey and its now my hobby to

I'm pretty much a full time mouth only inhaler, though occasionally will do a mouth-lung. Goes back to my smoking days when I'd blow out more smoke than inhaled. Big lung inhales, especially warm vape, give me a cough and spots before the eyes

I started, as most people do, mouth to lung. I was using ego type devices, which I was sucking on constantly at 18mg, trying to get enough nic. Then I got an iStick and Subtank Mini and have lung inhaled ever since. Had to reduce my nic to 6mg as I was then getting too much and climbing the walls. My OH was MTL too and asked why I made so much more vapour than she did, so I explained the *whistle backwards* method, and now she is also a direct lung inhaler. My daughter is a lung inhaler, but her B/F is not. So it's either the type of device used/whether you know about the different styles/horses for courses/or some random reason for differing styles of vape inhalation.

Primer puff in the mouth then inhale to lungs or out of mouth and to lungs through nose, have tried sub ohming and direct to lung inhales but is not me. Thing is I still want a big hit and lots of vape but can't stand direct inhales. Have given up with RBA and now just use Nautilus with 2.1ohm coils, lot less faffing about.

Spent two years on mouth-to-lung before getting shinyitis. When I got my MVP 3.0 it opened the gates. I bought a Subtank mini. With the openness of the draw I couldn't help but direct lung hit. But something wasn't right. After a bit of a faff and some reading on here I realised that the 12mg I was on wouldn't go too well for lung hits. Tried 6mg but still a bit harsh and so made some 3mg (lucky I'd started mixing my own!) and bingo! The clouds are nice but for me the flavour is the big difference. After the first couple of puffs MTL I found I couldn't really taste it anymore. With sub ohm Vaping I get loads of flavour every time. I rebuild my OCC heads at 0.8ish ohms and vape at around 16-18W (4V max) and love it in a way far beyond how I used to enjoy smoking. For me it's a hobby and a pastime that has also improved my health.

So it's either the type of device used/whether you know about the different styles/horses for courses/or some random reason for differing styles of vape inhalation. I also got disenchanted with ego type devices at 18mg and was sucking constantly. Only way I knew I was vaping was if I could see the vapour I exhaled, so on a windy day out walking the dog I was constantly checking it was working. What changed me was when I got a DNA40 device and to get it working how I liked I was forced to changed to a more open draw and lung inhales, it was an eye opener and over the last 7-8 months I've dropped to 7mg and I'm more than satisfied with my overall vape experience. Lung inhales doesn't have to mean blowing big clouds, I find I take shorter inhales for the same effect so no difference in the vapour I exhale. One thing I did notice was a drop in throat hit when lung inhaling, I gradually increased my PG to counteract that, I'm now on 80PG/20VG

I had always been mouth to lung inhales, until I got the iSub tank, and found with that the direct lung inhale is the way to go. Also with the Atlantis v1 and v2. I can do it on a Nautilus, with air wide open, but not as satisfying as using the iSub .5 ohm coils at about 28 watts.
