This bit will damage the industry, which is so innovative, a 6 month wait while the MHRA hums and has over an application :
That's every mod, every tank, having to be submitted for review 6 months before sale, assuming the notoriously anti-ecig MHRA is minded to pass it.

There's a lot read there, with links, had a very quick look, will try to read in full later. For now at the rate of tanks etc coming out I can't see how the "e police" can control and regulate this, tescos etc. yes but internet sales, small vaping shops.....Where do they start, how can they keep up and enforce, it's a minefield for them if we chose to ignore. Couldn't see mention of PG/VG & nicotine sales or mention of e juice which is good and "refill" that's going against the EU isn't it?

Imported devices will need to be regulated.

Bet They'd not follow an EU Directive telling 'em to stop stealing shopping from (UK) EU Citizens tho'!!!

Some interesting stuff in the actual SI. Part 6 is the main one in relation to ecigs, as well as Part 7. Section 42 is especially interesting.
(2) The following persons must register with the Secretary of State— (b) a retailer who is established other than in the United Kingdom who engages or intends to engage in a cross border distance sale of a relevant product with a consumer located in the United Kingdom.

I'm guessing that this will effectively kill all vaping as we know and love it, because of how one clause is worded.
(11) With the exception of disposable e-cigarettes, the product must have a mechanism for ensuring re-filling without leakage.
As far as I am aware, no refill system for any product on the market is fully leakproof. This goes for e-cigs, ink cartridges, car petrol tanks, and just about anything else. The 2ml tank is also a killer, although a well known one.
What I didn't know before is that all flavoured tobacco, papers, filters and cigarettes are also being ditched. Guess there are a few menthol smokers gonna be upset. Also, strange they make a big case about roll your own or hand rollling tobacco, and dont mention pipe tobacco.
Also on the topic of old analogs, they increase the min size to 20 cigs or 30g or rolling baccy. Don't these retards know that smokers don't self regulate based on how much they have smoked, but rather on how much they have left!!! Sure, a few less kids and people on low income will start smoking, but a hell of a lot of current smokers will have their habit made much worse by this move.
Any chance we could move the UK out of Europe and into Russia or China....seems they have more freedom these days.

Flicked through again quickly, this really reads regulation on cig a likes and there producers. I wouldn't be filling any forms or giving them any more information or terminology. This could well pass us by with minimal impact as we don't use "electronic cigarettes" , found one word "tank" which is not included in the under 18 ban. They haven't got a clue of what we buy, use and do, let alone regulate it.
