omg vaping has changed in one year, whats happened? I'm back

Hi Guys, 
As a few will remember, I was pretty active on the board this time last year. Then I kinda slipped out for a while. 
Now I'm back I'm wondering what's changed. 
When I went away we were discussing 50w mods, hana modz, Kayfuns, protanks and repairing vamos!!!

Now it's all  200w this and subtank that + Japanese cotton. !

Could someone give me a quick blow by blow of what I've missed please. 
Still using ipv2 , svd " yeah, it still fires sometimes pmsl" mechs and RDA's. Not used a tank in ages. 
I also never got a Kayfuns type thing and would sure like a clone for work.  So someone must have a bargain. C'mon........

I'm breakfast Chef in a hotel down the hill now so the ipv2 is getting beat up good! Lol. 

Other than that I'm down to about 6mg nic now.

Sub tanks are worth a try . . . . with a suitable device to use them on, I still like my Protanks but enjoy them for a different type of vape.

Haven't bought anything TC, yet.

Hello ruffdog can't help much on the Kayfun front not my kind of vape i like a good airy direct lung hit, not really into the temp control thing either personally but don't let that put you off buying a mod it's just like an extra feature on the chipset you can choose to use or not, you still have the good old variable wattage settings and surprisingly for tech related stuff manufacturers don't appear to be charging extra for it.

30watts does me! I have bought a few nice airy tanks and do 0.5 builds so its sub ohm enough for me using subtanks (I like lung inhales but not full time) I havnt got my head around temp. control and have yet to buy a mod with it as I'm quite content with my batch of vaporsharks (dna30's)

Welcome back ruffdog missed you last time, think I stated vaping about 10months ago now....yes in that short time I have seen loads change.....have all the gear but 15 watts on any regulated mod with a kayfun is all I really need.

Makes me wonder what Pepperty Get Off My Cloud & Perpetua would have answered to that question a year ago - things certainly have moved on.

Good old VW still gets me through, but I am definitely on the subohm team too. Direct lung inhales from a Smok VCT on a Smok M65.

HAHA... Talk of the devil... I have just been telling the story of when i sent that vaniling powder  crystal stuff to you, over a year ago. That is FREAKY.

OK composed now... how are you doing buddy. I also have not been on here till think its was start of last month, when I also thought I would see whats been going on to vaping while I have not been spending my free cash.

Seems to have been a lot of changes, Temperature control on a mod is the word now it would seem(stops wick burning if it drys out when vaping) works when using NI200 wire but a few are appearing that can accommodate titanium wire as well.
I have ordered a TC MOD so i can try this out. It is an untested Mod so I wont say which.
If It doesnt work properly I will be getting an Hcigar Vt40 from what ive seen read and heard its a very good TC mod £100 ish.

Apart from that its just new tanks to try. Had 4 new ones this month the best have been goliath, silverplay and a kayfun type called the Monster, which incidentally I did a review of each in the review section if you want to take a look.

I wondered where you had gone when I returned and saw that you hadnt posted for a longer time than me.
Really glad to see you post again. Hopefully will read a few more

Yeah its been a good while, as you see from my profile. I just got involved with other things more and wasn't going on any forums tbh.
Then I actually felt kinda guilty as a lot of you were great motivation and help during those first few months. I'm glad I have stayed at it and I'm so happy a lot of you are still here and doing your thing. for deserting !

Anyhoo..... So sub ohms, sub ohming tanks, TC, jap cotton ( what happened to rayon BTW) I've lost my sample somewhere but we were all trying it from someone here?? Are all the in thing now are they, hmmmmm . . . . . I can do that ! I've still not even tried a dual coil build properly yet. !!!!
I just been puffing my diy custard in the orieco storm for what seems like an eon. OK, I did buy some protanks heads, have them fail, rebuild a few, got pissed off with it etc etc,
Then I dug out a trident RDA did a nice coil twisted at 1.4ohm with cotton as usual and been using same coil for a month lol.

So This puppy needs to learn some new tricks

Just purchased a Kato and Kayfun 3 from a chap on here. have some juices to try and some mixing to do.

Good to have you back mate, I cant believe it's been that long.

Try the subtank mini clones from FT this one or this one which comes with a rebuildable head, both are pretty damn close to an original, and if you want to be REALLY up to date this mod although it is the new kid on the block is getting some great feedback (I've just got to decide if I really want a 4th TC mod)
