What devices do you have? A cracking dripper is the derringer, or for clouds the Kennedy is very good so is the baal.

I have a lemo 2, a subtank mini on the way and an igo l I drilled the air flow out to 3mm. I've actually just put a derringer in my basket as I'd seen a few people mention they were great for flavour. I will check the other two out now. Thank you. Will have to wait till next month though. This months budget is well and truly blown! Which of those has the best air flow?

Just to make things easier. Much easier to make twisted coils once your kanthal has been tamed.

Sorry. Just needed to share. I've only been making my own coils for a few weeks. Got bored before and decided to attempt a twisted coil. I only have 28awg kanthal. So twisted some of that. Threw it in the coil jig. Gave it 6 twists. Now the only dripper I have is a £2.60 igo l from fast tech (with the air flow drilled out to 3mm) so threw it in. Pinched with some ceramic tweezers etc. coil settled at 0.73ohms. Won't lie. Was terrified I'd done it wrong but wicked it up and made sure it was totally saturated. Fired it up at 35watts and blow me down it actually worked! Up to 45 and still good. I daren't go any higher haha. Chucking massive clouds. Flavour is immense (Mrs Bees True Dairy custard. 90% VG). It's sad how made up at I am hahaha. But I never thought I'd ever even be building my own coils. Never mind twisting kanthal and sub ohming. I know there's people making much better coils and far lower etc and a twisted kanthal coil really isn't that amazing but I'm really thrilled at my own progress haha. Very similar to you, just been coiling a few weeks, recently 28awg and dripper etc. It really is exciting to achieve it, so I entirely understand. Well done! And you can use the Steam page to check how high you can potentially go with watts ... link You can see the watts to the right, and the little colour box. Use the arrows in the 'heat flux' box to see how high you can go, to where you reach green and it's just about to go kind of a muddy green. Just before that point is your highest with that build. I didn't notice the 'inner diameter of coil' part for a while myself, lol, so will draw your attention to that too.

cant find it now but i saw a utube on twisting shorter lengths manually 1) hold the 2 ends in the jaws of pliers, 2) hook a biro pocket clip over the loop and pull taught 3) roll the biro on your leg keeping the wire taught and moving the pliers with the biro roll 4) continue rolling the biro till the wire snaps. the utube made it look easy as they do Here's the vid Build: Making Twisted Wire for Coils Without a Drill

Still like the good old 2 wire twist for the little air holes that you can see the cotton through.
