the screen doesn't appear to be a known temp control chip either, geeco, kangix etc.....?

Your guess is as good as mine lol, sometimes they put the box size in their listings, but I am pretty sure that battery is 18650 size, so a small size

Off subject a bit but does anyone know of a decent supplier of tagged batteries for if the ones that come with built in ones prove to be a bit err dodgy, I've seen the hobbycraft ones but they're only about 1300mAh and postage is extortionate.

Yep I was thinking that myself, but in the meantime found 2900mAh sony 10A on the Ecolux shop on fleabay.

Can't wait now....is it here yet?

I would wait until Doris comes back with an answer about the TC, it wouldn`t surprise me if they were just temperature protected in the box (overheat). We`ll know tomorrow
