As for the act of killing anything humanely? Thats a myth there is nothing humane about killing anything? I could rant on & on and ariston about whether a cow feels fear at an abattoir or if a chicken doesnt feel fear when its strung upsidedown next to another that is being ....... well you get my drift.(not for the faint hearted) linkAs for the OP politics is fickle, and a professional politician will say anything to stay relevant. Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies. - Groucho Marx No offence to anyone, just my 2 pennies worth The link in this video is a true reflection of how animals are treated but it will go ignored because most people don't want to know (Out of sight, out of mind) If you are a true lover of animals watch the video and then decide if we are a nation of animal lovers. It says on youtube This video may be inappropriate for some users (Out of sight, out of mind).

I am an active Supporter of all the organisations who campaign tirelessly against the Dog Meat Trade in other areas of the world @tubthumper, although their Animal Welfare leaves much to be desired period.
That said, we are no better in many aspects of our treatment towards them.
A fact that causes me much sadness.

It's hard one PerpetuaYears ago before I even knew what a forum was my ex was a member of a bulldog one, there was a bulldog in a terrible state for sale on gumtree....reports to the PDSA was ignored and I know the general view of the PDSA there was negative, so they started to rally around for donations to buy and save him. My ex got very emotional involved and in a right state so in the end I caved in and said I would go "buy" him. I took a friend and as soon as we both see the dog we just looked at the guy and walked straight out of the house with him, he didn't say a word. I had to take him to a bulldog rescue centre somewhere in Sussex, the money the forum donated went to the centre and on my return my ex showed me a few pages of the forum, it read like mission impossible as he she updated the other members, he has left to get him, he has got him, he is at the centre....! I got shown the regular updates and he made a full recovery He had no problem finding a new home, think the whole bloody forum wanted him including my ex, that I did not cave into, one snoring at the end of the bed was enough..! We all met him with the new owners a few months later and it was such a transformation and great to see him running around and happy.

I find myself getting too drawn in on many occasions with alot of these issues - so much so I go to bed at night with them churning over in my mind. But, what's the option - to ignore them and pretend they don't exist. If we all did that over any case of abuse or mistreatment, then the world would be in an even sorrier mess . . . . so that's a non option for me. Thank you for your kindness and compassion in rescuing this neglected bulldog, a happy ending to a sad tale is always good to hear. xxx
