I seek advice I received my sig 75 w this week it's a great bit of kit however after a few drags the case starts to get warm and so is the battery so I changed battery's the same thing happens it's not red hot but warm I've tried this on 3 new 18650 battery's and it's the same every time I've emailed the vendor explains all this which I might say is probably very respected so. Ain't going to name and shame he comes back to me saying to be honest I'm not sure there so new there's not much info about them out there have you tried the forums and Facebook groups to see if anyone else has the same issue he does say he hasn't heard of any getting hot not yet anyway I. Just concerned that if they are getting warm could there be a short in the mod itself I've got 3 sigs a cloupor and an I stick and non of them have ever got warm
thanks

What batteries are you using nick777? All 18650's batteries aren't equal when it comes to powering these beefy devices we have now.

I'd like too get confirmation from VapingBad or Ripshod on this?

What wattage and coil resistance are you running?
I don't know if it's a TC mod but if it is are you using it in TC mode or normal kanthal/wattage mode?
I would not be too concerned if batteries got warm, but anything approaching hot to the touch needs further investigation.
Does it stay warm when you're not using it?

Does it stay warm when you're not using it? iam using a smok tct tank with ni 200 coils o.2 ohm mainly at 60 watt and tempreture of 450 but it does the same with my sigalei elite tank it does cool down when not using it it's not hot to touch it just gets warm

Vaping at 60w with ni200 coils shouldn't be a problem as the power would drop instantly although I would rather be safe than sorry nick777 but with kanthal or any non tc wire is a no no.. Take a look at this battery list and if I was you get yourself a pair of the 75w 18650s so you can be reassured that you'll never have a problem no matter what coil you use

Yes the Samsung 25r is a 20A battery each 10A of power on a battery is good for 25W of Mod power so a single 25r would be good for 50W. In a 2 battery MOD a pair of 25r's would be good for 100W when used together, 20A+20A=40A. Dont get caught out thinking those 35A batteries are 35A, they are not. Sony, plus the few others listed are the only true 30A batteries available. Dont buy Sony's for 6.99 on ebay, they will be fake for sure. The only person I trust is Norbert at ecoluxshop for tested genuine batteries, he lists the continuous discharge rate(the one we want) alongside those peak discharge rates so you know what you are getting. But thats just me(and many others here).

I don't like the sound of it getting "hot" from "a few drags" at 60 W TBH, but as DiscoDes said warm is normally OK. Is the atty getting very hot and that heat conducting to the body, I get this with my aluminium body mods when the tank is low and it is nothing to worry about, try unscrewing the atty one turn and see if that reduces the heat in the body. When it is getting hot which area is hottest that batteries, the atty, the area where the board is.

I will try unscrewing thr atty when it gets warm it's the sides first and it's both sides that's why I was drawn to the battery as both sides come of the sig75
