My first China bought set-up - Realeux rx 200 and Footoon Aqua FX. No idea about the 'Authenticity' of either, though the FX is more than likely not

Either way - cracking set-up. The Realeaux is hefty compared to either the Kbox or Eleaf 50w i brought with me, but sits nicely in the hand, terrific battery life, smooth fire button, and really ain't falling over! The FX (unauthentic though it maybe) gives great flavour, vapour, airflow, and loving the 3 or 5ml options. The rebuilding is definitely easier 2nd time around, and the way you can build a coil using the spare ceramic and clips and then just drop it into the 'case' when needed, makes it only a tad more difficult than replacing a stock coil - no need to drain the tank either.

Have afew bits and pieces due too - 'Authentic' Aqua FX - Vaporesso kit (mainly for the Ceramic heads to try in a Furytank 2 when i visit Anyvape - only way to guarantee an 'Authentic' product LoL. Clapton Coils that come with the Furytank 2, versus ceramic from the Vaporesso ) and 6 new batteries for the Realeaux.

Still got to sort a juice supply out, the 500ml of 30mg premixed Nic, PG/VG - is due to run out in a month or so - even diluted - but have found a source of Nic - IL of 36mg for $39 which should keep me going - they do flavours too but will hang on to see if i can source owt else - or get me Ma to send me some M+P's

Vaping in China thus far has been a) lonely - still not seen or heard of another vaper anywhere near me b) trickier to source 'authentic' anything than i imagined.

For example - thought i'd try and find some of the Vaporesso ceramic heads - easiest place was FT - who don't deliver to mainland China. So ordered them to be sent to me Ma in Ireland, who will then send them to me in China Hence ordering the Vaporesso kit in the end. At least the controversy over the toxicity of the coils should be sorted one way or the other by the time the 10 i've ordered arrive LoL

It's a cray world digicig where you order something which is dispatched from just down the road, and it ends up travelling to Ireland, only to be posted back to you! Nice looking mod though . . .

Might try and find out where in Shenzhen Vaporesso (Smoore) are based, and see if they can a) clear up the toxicity issue and b) sell me some heads direct LoL

Just finished the 16 week semester - which was almost as painful as it sounds. There were meant to be 2 native English teachers here - but Richard the Yank i'd been communicating with via Skype - and had signed up for hi 3rd year at the college (should be a good sign right?) - his father died literally as i was in transit, so understandably he didn't return. That's left me as being the only native English speaker amongst the10,000 students, and one of about 12 or so amongst the 3 million residents of Xianning! Plus of course no one to show me the ropes.

The 'guidance' on how and what to teach has been along the lines of, "you're an Oral English teacher, get them to speak English" - which as you can imagine is incredibly helpful - then you realise that although it's a college, and the students have technically been studying English for a minimum of 4 years - they don't actually recognise an English speaker asking them what a Noun, Verb etc are!

i could go on about the trials and tribulations, the trying the CELTA method, and then waking up to the reality that my 'training' is effectively useless here - but suffice to say - i've survived, there has been some, if minimal progress and the students are at least recognising that they may not understand my words but appreciate the effort i'm putting in - and that i'm an 'interesting teacher' - which i suppose is something LoL

Next semester, i have to come up with a different approach again. The Chinese education system seems, to me, to be about giving them fish, whereas i've been trying to teach them to fish. Not wanting to just stand at the front and do the repetition thing - which is probably as boring for them as it would be for me, i've tried many different things instead. I think next semester i might give them some fish, as bait, to lead them towards the fishing rod - just to see if it works

Well today it finally happened!
Been here for over 4 months and i spied the rarest of creatures in Xianning today - the lesser spotted Chinese vaper!
He was walking along, and vaping almost in stealth mode, which made it difficult to be sure. Then he spotted the plume emerging from my VG backed FX exhale and shyly smiled, raised his ego with CE4 type clearo and hurried on before i could grab a selfie with him - darn LoL

Apparently i'm a minor 'trend' on weibo - kinda Chinese FB. The local newspaper are running a story on the 'Life of a Foreign Teacher' - had to agree for college publicity (in me contract ) so had a photographer trailing me for a couple of days - and by 'coincidence' the Aviation students (future flight crew etc) happened to turn up to their last lesson in full uniform :30:





At the end of the class i got rushed by students wanting selfies taken with the 'Foreign Monkey' in their uniforms - and the photographer sneaked a pic - very 'meta' LoL



Still haven't seen the article - and these pics were only shared with me by another student who'd seen them on Weibo :blush:

Loving the updates. It must be almost 6 years since I was last in China, and your stories are bringing back the memories. Particularly the foreigners tax. Oh how I miss my trips to China.

Well played on spotting a local vaper. As you say, smoking is so cheap over there, it is barely worth bothering about vaping to try to quit.
