Greetings all, my very little used mod has developed a problem. The firing button has stopped clicking when you press it. Although it is still working, I feel it is only a matter of time before it packs up completely. Has anyone successfully replaced the micro switch behind the fire button? Many thanks.

You can buy a replacement pcb from Fasttech, they are not expensive if you're handy with a soldering iron

I was considering getting one of these, now that the price has come down a bit, but from it seems many reports of problems, I don't think I will get one. Pity, because it is a very nice little device, and rather hankered after one, especially since I got the iStick 30Watter.

I have a dead 50w that has the exact same problem, the microswitch they have used really is dinky and looks like a complete sod to get off the board let alone fit a replacement. I'm looking it doing a bodge replacement useing a larger tactile switch ( similar to those used onnthe Hanna boxes) then stabilising with milliput and sugru to finush. It's in my line up of bits no bobs to fix.
