Just received my 40w TC today so early days, and only now running my first tank. Size wise it's nice, and about the same as the 20w models. Using it with my Sub Ohm Mini. So far all easy to set up and operate.

There's a thread over on UKV and it seems a lot of people are having issues with the temp control aide of it.
I have one and if you were just after a small mod it's perfect but I'd be wary of the temp control side.

I've had mine a couple of weeks and my findings are : 1. Works fine in wattage/kanthal mode 2. I have some ni200 heads for my subtank at 0.15 ohms and they work well, set at anywhere between 400 - 450 deg F 3. You cannot change the wattage in TC mode, this is NOT an issue. 4. I built a spaced 0.12 ohm/OCC twisted nickel coil and bunged it in a magma dripper and it works well. 5 . So I would say the TC works well 6. It's a nice small palm sized device just a little bigger than the iStick 30 or 20 7. The only "downside" is the 2600 battery IMO, it will last a good 10-12 hours but i'd like a bit more. I am almost exclusively using it in TC mode. I'd like to get a silicone sleeve for it but they are only just coming to market.

Not allowing wattage change in temp mode is a mistake IMO, it's like going back to mech mods where you have set the power with coil resistance. It can work if the tank+coil suites you, but temp limiting does not superseded VW they work together adjusting different things.

Charge current is 0.87 Amps so charges reasonably quickly (2.5 to 3 hours) 9. Will "pass though" when charging so you can vape & charge at the same time

Had mine a week. Only used in TC mode.
Using a .3ohm 'Vaporshark Nickel Coil for Nautilus' at 430°F in a Nautilus Mini. I've vaped each of 6 tanks full to empty & refilled with a different flavour. On tank fill 7 flavour is very muted. Played up & down with temp. but no improvement.
Will put a new nickel head in and strip the used one down. Can't make a new coil as I'm waiting for delivery of nickel wire.
I'm really pleased because it does the 2 things I got it for:- ability to vape the tank dry & no burnt wicks.
Only thing on my wish list now is top fill but I'm trying out a Triton. I have recoiled an Atlantis head with a horizontal micro coil and it fits the Triton and vapes well. Also a lot more room in the Atlantis heads so I hope to fit a .3ohm nickel coil in there.

Great device. Tell it to do kanthel watts, then adjust the watts, tell it to to temp control then adjusts the temp, simple, no going through menus like others, works as well as every other temp mod I have. Nice range in temp mode too between 400f-500f. +500f starts to mark the cotton too much IMO.

It seems the only way i get a half decent vape is to get the coil so hot it it wont fire at all, then unlock the coil, take out , put back in & it asks if its a new coil i then say yes re lock at the new resistance (jumped from 0.13 to 0.17). Then i get plenty of vapour at 500*F+ & have to draw pretty hard. So far i'm not too keen on this TC vaping, May be i'm doing it wrong, I think you should be able to control the wattage too. Hitting 40watts straight away is to much as temp protection kicks in. I have the smy mini on order but a bit put off now. I'm using a subtank with the occ Ni200 coils...

I'm finding the triton a bloody good tank- I'm actually looking forward to the release of the rebuildable section for it but in the meantime the stock heads are great. Been looking for a tank to take on hols and I think this could be it, it works well with the istick40w tc, top fill and faff free- what's not to like
