Nickel is sooo easy to make a coil with, it stays put much better than kanthal I can't see to point, the thing that causes an issue for some is that it is also easier to deform the coil when rewicking and don't see how a pre made would help. Want them nice and neat wind on a M2.5, M3 or M3.5 (same as the screws that hold your light switches in).

They also do them in the 0.15ohms size which would be spot on for dual coil set ups giving 0.075 ohms overall.

You are of course right VapingBad it is up to the prospective buyer to ensure that any coil he buys or makes himself is compatible with his mod. Both my mods will fire down to 0.05 ohms so I am OK.

Very new to TC vaping, about 24 hours, but struggling with these coils, plenty of vapour but almost zero flavour. Just rebuilt an OCC head with my own nickel and seems to be a little better. I have no idea why that should be, same tank, same juice, same ohms but tastes better...bizarre.

Having more surface contact area is more important with temp limiting than kanthal and IMO some people suffer from having to few wraps to spread the heat. You should be able to get the same amount of vapour as you can from kanthal in the low 400's F at the same watts, if not you don't have enough contact area, airflow or wicking.

My rebuilt coil is 10 wraps & 2.5mm of .30mm, it gives me .15 on the Dovpo. I'm getting some vapour at all temp settings, @400 it's cool & little vapour, @530 more vapour, but still no flavour and very very "dry". Will have another play with it on the IPV4 S. I've got other devices, so no big deal, but I paid €15.oo for 5 of these coils yesterday, and so far, not having much success with them. I thought the pre made would be good to get me going, might have to go back to kanthal on the sub tanks. However, the titanium build on the aromamizer is epic

I have not tried that mod reefcat, but doesn't sound right SteamEngine say tha coil would be good at 15 - 25 W. I never had to go above 430 F, normally I vape at 380 - 400 F, but with 100% PG and that give more vapour than VG at lower temps.

OK - I need to try some Nickel coils in a dripper, it's the nickel in a subtank that causing the problem. In the Dovpo & the IPV4 S, same issue, vapour but no flavour. I've tried my own nickel recoil & a kanger nickel coil, so don't think it's the wire. The only other tank I have at the moment has a titanium build so can't use that. Will have another play with it all tomorrow, go to go and cook dinner now Thanks for the suggestions.

Update No. 2 - OK, I was a little premature in my assessment of my first build. I think I have packed in a bit too much cotton, so will need to disassemble this morning (being a KFL, this is a pain, involving pouring the tank contents back into the bottle, washing and rinsing the components, and then rewicking) - I'll report back again after this has been completed. I will also remove the KFL's airflow grubscrew to assist ventilation over the coil.
I'll be back!
