Hi All,
I have been using istick with an Aspire Nautilus for some time now (after taking advice from this group) Both last me all day and i only have to fill up + charge once a day.
However I have heard a bit about this sub ohm lark and thought I would give it a try. Any advice on a good tank? I want a large tank as it suits me to only refill once a day and I see the Aspire Atlantis is only 2ml
The istick has taken a lot of abuse and taken many falls of counters etc and keeps going strong. Love it.
Thanks
Martin

The innokin isub or isub g are both good tanks and very reasonably priced. The coils last for ages too

I think its only 20w, will this handle sub ohm? No. It will only read coils that are 1ohm or above so no good for sub ohm.

Which model of iStick are you using? The 20w version will not sub ohm the minimum resistance it takes is 1.0ohm. 30w iStick minimum resistance is 0.4ohm so take into account what resistance the tank you're using uses for it's coils as some sub ohm tanks use 0.2ohm or 0.3ohm coils. 50w iStick has a minimum resistance rating of 0.2ohm. If you're using ready made stock coil heads most of the sub ohm tanks are pretty much the same using a vertical coil system. These style of tanks eat through juice don't expect them to use juice at the same rate as a Nautilus, you may well find you need to reduce your nicotine level quite drastically too, not only will you notice the vape is harsh if you're using a fairly high nicotine juice you'll also get nic sick. I reduced my nicotine level from 18mg to 6mg when i switched to sub ohm vaping. Edit: was ninja'd by a few replies while typing this one.

so i need the 30w one then? Yep the 30w at least, and that won't be any good for coils lower than 0.4ohms.

so i need the 30w one then? Minimum. Best decide what tank you fancy then go with a mod that will take coils of that resistance. I've used the subtank mini 0.5ohm heads with the 40w iStick and the iSub G (cracking vape for stock coils - really impressed me) on the 50w iStick.

I would say if you were going to purchase a new mod, choose one that fires lower than 0.4. If you do enjoy the sub tank of your choosing then you may like a couple more. The majority seem to be coming out at 0.3/0.2.

I outgrew the 30w Istick pretty quick. I couldn't really use coils lower than 0.7 because to get the vape tasting right I had to have it at 30w.
I'd say if you are ready for a step up, take a step up rather than sideways.
