Found this on my search of the T'internet, some interesting ones there. I am not sure on the GVC versions 1-4 as it bears no resemblance to the one I have been using for near on 6 mth. There was some confusion on another site and it was initially removed as they thought these folk were trying to sell cloned liquds, but it turns out they are just versions come up with that compare to the original, hpw good they are I don't know. Again if this is not allowed please delete

Don't panic car147, I missed Perpetua's first post and your post has alerted me to its whereabouts, so no harm done in this household anyway! There are definitely some here that I will be trying

Found this on my search of the T'internet, some interesting ones there. I am not sure on the GVC versions 1-4 as it bears no resemblance to the one I have been using for near on 6 mth. To me, this site is a good resource as it is basically a compilation of all clone recipes all over the interwebz ever - including ones from non English speaking forums that we might not otherwise come accross Re the GVC clones (in case anyones interested...). On my never ending custard quest I've mixed all of these at one point or another. Although they can make very nice custard to me they sadly taste nothing at all like Grants. The basic GVC clone of CAP VC, DLD and EM (with or without added French Van) is not GVCish in the slightest (imo), but lots of people really enjoy it. The V2 on there (with NY cheesecake in) is similar to kreed's Kustard so I know those ingredients make a lovely mix (although they use only 3% VC which seems very low. My own taste buds seem to prefer around 8% - 10% if it's CAP VC - My own personal feeling is that I can't call it a custard if I can't actually taste the custard - this I would therefore class as vanilla cheescake ). The taste profile isn't in the GVC ballpark at all though!! My favourite one is the V4 (with cake batter and malted milk in). Still diff in taste to GVC but it definitely has similarities. I found this recipe on a Fench forum originally and am still tweaking my version to how I want it, but it's my favourite one and really tasty. Out of interest (and for the sake of custardy science!!) what is the recipe you've been using car147 ? How does it compare ?

Aghhhhhhhh clones the quest of madness with custard (I've never had GVC) I dont suppose anyone has tried cloning the Vanilla Custard from vapeking dot co dot uk? I'd be interested in where you are with it if you have, it appears to me have a toffee undertone to it and some days I think its donuts this was last nights latest, 4 weeks to get a clue doesn’t help the quest ;-) 100ml custard 20ml Cap VC 4ml Butterscotch 2ml TFA Dulce de Leche 4ml French Vanilla cap 3ml Bavarian cream

Sorry spacey I had totally missed your question, it was the basic GVC clone I had been using, but now its either Kreeds or CLC

Ha ha no worries car147 - I'd totally forgotten anyway It's funny though - lots of people (seemingly you included) get the GVC taste from the basic GVC clone. I wish I did!!!

it is strange how folks taste differ, I gave a friend some and he had the real McCoy, yet still preferred the clone to the original.

it is strange how folks taste differ I also find it interesting how our tastes can pick up or not on different notes in a recipe/flavour . . . . at the time Grant created GVC, we actually had very few concentrate options available to us to purchase - as incredible as that now sounds, being totally spoilt for choice. I'd suspect that there are 2 ( possibly 3 ) flavours used along with some EM in the original, so perhaps it boils down to the base ingredients that make the difference. As long as it's an enjoyable vape, that's all that matters really. The addition of CCW's Egg Nog to VC is my current project - then I'm going to have a tinker with DV's Creme Anglaise, which I just had to buy.

I'm steeping this at the moment Mandy, it's had two weeks so far, with some VC from UKF, so only another two weeks before I try it. Let me know if you try your custard mixes before/after then. I also got some Vanille Francaise from DV which is at the same stage. I spot/lick tasted both of them and couldn't tell the difference, but steeping/vaping may be different. If not, I have 100ml of the same conc in differently packaged bottles
