My Sigelei 75 Watt Temperature Control Mod arrived yesterday and it is a cracking little device and now i am thinking of getting the limited edition (white) snow wolf are there any better devices than the snow wolf out there or should i stick to the sigelei 75 watts and save my cash lol, also are the sony vtc 5 batteries i have ample enough to run the snow wolf or should i buy different batteries sorry for all the questions i havent tried the Sigelei in tc mode yet as my ni200 wire havent turned up.im aware that the first v1 of the snow wolf had some problems little ones at that wondering if the v1.5 have the same problems. Thanks for putting up with me

I have the Snow Wolf........and it gets little use from me for TC....... but is awesome in wattage mode if you build super low ohms. Even if you don't actually as you're not stretching the limits of the device. The Smok XCube2 is a better TC device for a number of reasons. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/post/988891/threadIf you have genuine VTC5's.....they're about the best batteries you can get and perfect if you decide to go for the Snow Wolf

As far as i'm aware the only difference between the original SnowWolf 200w and the Limited Edition versions is the Limited Edition versions have atty lock, aside from cosmetic differences that is.
I have the original SnowWolf 200w and i like it but there are things i find annoying.
I don't like the auto lock nonsense where it locks itself after it goes to sleep, so if you leave it sat for 5 minutes and pick it up to have a vape you have to piss about unlocking it.
I don't like that you can't manually switch modes between regular VW and TC, it only works on auto detect which doesn't work properly all the time. It particularly has a problem when switching from a TC atty to a regular VW atty, it doesn't always recognise the change and will not switch modes. Even when it does switch it will only do so if you vape on it for a few seconds so when you switch to a regular atty it will fire in TC mode for 4 or 5 seconds before switching.
The 200w thing is just a gimmick really. Above 150w it doesn't continuously fire it pulses, reason being the continuous discharge ratings on 18650's are not high enough to safely fire the mod at 200w without risking venting the batteries so they pulse fire the mod to exploit the higher pulse discharge ratings of the batteries.
That said i do like the aesthetics of the SnowWolf and it is solidly built, my issues all relate to the chip functions.
I've just got the Sigelei 150w TC mod and honestly i would recommend that over the SnowWolf. Has none of the problems i just listed with the SnowWolf it's built rock solid and it's £40 cheaper than the Limited Edition SnowWolf. Ok it only goes to 150w compared to the SnowWolf's "200w" but in either case you can only go that high in regular VW mode, are you really likely to vape above 150W on a non TC coil? In TC mode the SnowWolf can only go to 70w whereas the Sigelei can go to 100J which unless i'm mistaken is equivalent to 100w
Of course there's the DNA200 but me personally i don't fancy LiPo batteries, bit of a daft move i think going backwards from safe chemistry batteries to unsafe ones.
I also hear that Koopor are bringing out a 200w version of their new Koopor Mini but haven't seen any real details on that yet.

I have got to say i have been very impressed with the Snow Wolf, for a mod that had virtually no Hype prior to launch it has won over a lot of vapers, yes they could have don't some things better, but for the price, spec and in operation mine has been spot on, ( always running in tc, so the atty issue never surfaces) only slight niggle is the 5 damn presses after sleep mode, also I got lucky and got it in a GB flash sale so cost was £50 odd.

Yeah it's priced good if you get the original version, i paid £60 for mine, but if you want the "limited edition" version that has atty lock it'll cost you another 40 quid which is taking the piss i think just for one added feature. The Sigelei 150w is £60 and you have atty lock and none of the other issues the SnowWolf has.

I've been poncing about wondering what my next TC mod is going to be. Have an IPV 4S that seems pretty good, but going to wait for the DNA 200 to hit our shores properly, love the idea of the config on the pC.

So cancelled & now have money burning a hole in my GB wallet, sure it won't stay there for long

I haven't used the bluetooth thing......... don't need to and it's a bit of a gimmicky thing.
All the settings you need are in the menu on the mod.

Thank you all for your replies i still haven't decided as of yet i have read all your comments and there are a few other mods you have suggested and now having a tough time deciding which one to get lol i know i can get the original snow wolf v1 for £75 which seems a decent price for the uk lol but having a look at a few youtube videos i am liking the sigeli 150 watt better than the snow wolf i got both in my basket but one has to go lol as i have just bought the sigeli 75 watt tc earlier this week .

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure lipo's a safer way to vape than 18650 as lipo's have a much higher continuous amp therefore not putting as much stress on the battery and less likely to vent, okay so the chemistry is different but when vaping you would never put a lipo through its paces like a rc car does unlike an 18650 which you would be pushing it to its limits when vaping even with a sony vtc at 75w. Get Off My CloudYes they have higher discharge limits hence why they're needed for the DNA200 but when they do vent the difference is dramatic, it's like opening a shook up can of beer compared to a roman candle, an 18650 IMR is going to get hot and fizz out some gas, a LiPo is going to violently shoot fire, which would you rather happen? Pushing the battery beyond it's continuous discharge rating isn't the only thing that can cause a battery to vent.
