Butterscotch

Hi there, has anyone got a recommendation for a good butterscotch flavour concentrate? I've tried tfa's and just don't think it tastes like butterscotch at all. Trying to get a clone of claim your throne and it tastes nowhere near. Thanks

Hi jacq. Nicest butterscotch i've found is from Flavour Art UK. Really nicely balanced. Mind you pretty much all their flavours are really good.
Don't know if you have used their concentrates before, but they are a lot stronger than most, so you need to cut down percentages, which makes them really good value for money as well.

Ok thanks Kevbev. I'll give it a try and no I haven't tried flavour art before so will go have a look. Great tip coz I'm new to all this! Right, just added it to my list from chefs vapour and saw marzipan too which I LOVE! Can't wait to try them now.

As with all flavourings they will vary from maker to maker some will taste better to you and your taste buds than others.
In many ways your question is a bit like asking who makes the best blue car!

The best Butterscotch ever for me is CupCake World's jacq . . . . it sounds a high percentage, but mix at 30% with 2% of their Cream - lovely!

Hangsens butterscotch is good dont be put off by the brand.

Me to jacq . . . . just steamed my way through 30ml of the CCW concoction, so need to get another batch in the pipeline. It's also very nice combined with Caramel, another favourite flavour for me.

After reading this I remembered I'd made up some Butterscotch and Caramel ages ago so I had quick look for it but couldn't find it. 

I think a Butterscotch, Caramel and Dulce de Leche blend may be getting mixed later on

Got hold of some cupcake world Sticky Toffee which smells AMAZING... Not quite butterscotch I grant you but with a touch of vanilla or cream and it will be good hopefully

It does . . . . although I also found it quite weak in flavour VapeyJacks when mixed, so you may want to consider that when deciding ratios.

Depends of course on how ' tuned ' your taste buds are.

Yeah, I did find that actually... I thought that 5ml would be enough but it turned out nice, but sort of insipid xD However I used alot more PG than usual so that could have played a part in it also.

However impressed by Cupcake world's flavours and variety so far. Will update once I get time to home brew some more liquids haha
