Forgetting to Vape

I can be flitting around on the internet looking up various things for a couple of hours and then realize my vape gear is still in it's stand, a couple of days ago I drove 40+ miles and my device was still in my top pocket, this has been happening more frequently, could this be an indication to give up vaping or am I just getting old and forgetful. Dave

If I'm really concentrating on something like a really good book,soldering,chainmaille it can be ages before I Vape and not realise.
Ofc this could just be onset of craft moments.

I do that all the time these days @darch been on nil nic for 3 or 4 months and often go hours without a toot.
i still pop in here though ?? this place is more addictive than nicotine

I've been nicotine free for 18 months so I guess that's the answer, plus I'm getting old. Dave

I vape less and less. I'm sure soon I will give up.
Strange I smoked 4-5 packs daily and refused to go anywhere if I couldn't smoke, now I'm not too upset if I can't vape.
I'm still on 18mg

I too can happily go hours without a vape, just says to me that vaping is nothing like tobacco addiction.
I see no reason to quit even though i believe i could easily do so, i do it because i enjoy it.

When I changed from smoking to vaping, I still had certain cravings for a fag.
If nothing else, this proved to me that there was other addictive substances in fags than just nicotine.
Now that I am on my 3rd year of Vaping, the fact that, like others, I can go a while without bothering to toot signifies to me that when I want a toot, it is for a nicotine fix, only.

However, going for a few hours without a vape is one thing. Stopping vaping altogether is a whole different ball game.

By all means try it, but no one will criticise you if you end up back vaping.

I'd say you're less addicted to the motor addiction of hand to mouth, having overcome the nicotine addiction!

Paradoxically, my main times when I go vapeless for extended periods is when I'm on a recoiling/rewicking/mixing mission. Once rebuilt 7 krakens 3 goblins 2 subtanks and an orchid and made about 40 spare coils then mixed about 15 bottles of juice and didn't vape throughout. Was even worse in the bad old days of rebuilding protank heads, had at least 35 of them to do at a time.

I was only thinking about this yesterday, if I happen to go a few hours without a vape, which is fairly frequent, I'm nowhere near as cranky as I would have been on the stinkies, whilst nic is addictive they must pump all sorts into fags to amplify that addiction. Can't believe they get away with it given the stance on vaping and the tpd.
So, whilst it really annoys me that they may take this all away, I'm also happy that my body has been free of all the rubbish they put into cigarettes and totally confident that I will never again spend another penny on tar products. I have enough vape products to wean down to zero nic when necessary .

I wear my ecig on a lanyard and so it is always there, dangling about 10 inches below my gob.
So it is not a matter of not seeing or forgetting about the ecig, just a matter of only thinking about a toot when the 2 brain cells thinks I could do with one.

I have been working in my garden all afternoon and despite wearing the lanyard all day, the only times I have been vaping is during my wee rest breaks.

For these breaks I sit in my shed where there are lots of mods with different flavours and I tend to toke a few different ones and possibly toot more than I would if I only used the lanyard mod all day.

I managed to stop vaping for a period of time but then got really stressed and finally got round rebuilding my fogger properly, so I can use it and went to it again...
Saying that - now that I sold my mod and got nothing else to use my tank on I am happy to wait for the next one to be bought and I know I will go along without vaping or smoking analogue cigarettes.
