Please don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with the forum how it is. At work my pc doesn't have ad blocker so I have seen the ads top and bottom. They aren't intrusive at all. Yes I do have ad blocker on my home computer, but that is to stop ads on other web sites, not here in particular. This is a great site and you all do a great job keeping it in order. I'm a mod on a home brew forum, so I have an idea what goes on in the background. For some reason the thread has got sidetracked, as these things tend to do, into a slagging off ads. That was never my intention, as I was only agreeing that I went to the bottom of the page when pressing next page. It's only a minor inconvenience, and not worth us all falling out. None of this has been an attack on the admin/mods or members of this forum. Hail AAEC is what I say, and long may it live. Please accept my apology if I have upset anyone by my comments. They were not meant in that way.

BTW, back on-topic...... I normally use ABP on FF - I have disabled it for this forum, but still the "bottom of next page" thing still happens ...so it sounds like Proboards support may not have been on the level with you Chrissie ...now it's not a big thing, just a minor annoyance which, btw, has happened before several times, and clears up once PB do their next platform update.... ...so to everyone that this issue is affecting - hang in there, it'll probably be fixed in due course

hmm....right.... 1. In a private window with ABP off, the Next/Prev buttons work as they should, taking you to the top of the page. 2. In a private window with ABP on, the Next/Prev buttons take you near the bottom of the next page 3 In my original window, disabling ABP now seems to have worked (but I did need to restart FF for this to work after having disabled ABP for proboards, it didn't work "live"). so ok, they may not have been telling porkies Chrissie however, as I said above, this isn't the first time (and probably won't be the last) it's happened, and seems to get resolved when they update the PB back-end.

GunJack as you say this isn't the first time this issue has been raised (either here, or on PB support). However, the answer is always the same, it's mainly due to using an ad blocker or some similar browser add on & it wont be fixed with any PB updates.

I have recently started using Chrome again as my default browser because of Flash Player issues using Firefox, my browser of choice. I was just about to post an identical query to that of the OP, and have just excluded ABP from this domain, and all has rectified itself. I'll just have to live with the ads top and bottom I guess

I'll just have to live with the ads top and bottom I guess Seldom do I ever scroll down far enough to see the ad at the bottom Andy . . . . . The one at the top personally I find liveable with - it really isn't that intrusive.
