This is just a bit of advice to save your mod from going toes up. Ive just received a s-ca3 for repair from @spikeyfridge that either wont fire or is firing permanently. I have discovered a bit of really bad design. In a nutshell juice from the 510 can run down the wire onto the board and fry it. So if you've got one and dont want it to die on you, take the back off and check its not going the same way. Needless to say ive not had any luck so far in finding a replacement board so it looks like it could be game over if this happens to you.

That`s a pity, the smaller S-CA1 was pretty well sealed

It's a pita and a really bad design flaw. Unfortunately mine is out of warranty. In every other squonker I have, the board is blocked off somehow

That's a real bummer.......Fortunately, it seems, the SCA-1 is unaffected by this flaw. What with that & the board problem of the Geyscano raising it's ugly head, it would appear that some of the mod clones now are being "rush" produced.......

The stupid thing about it is if they had used the favourite stuff of the clone builder, ie hot glue on this part of the board it would have protected it. When they need to use it they don't bother. Also im suprised the 510 wire doesn't go into meltdown as its so thin, i use thicker gauge to wire switches.

For people with working ones you could try painting the board with silicon, epoxy or some polyurethanes to water proof it, some manufactures (Evolv & ProVape) do this to all their boards and it's known as conformal coating, you can get special silicones to do it.

Geyscano squonker wins hands down for me for a starter squonker. I'm squonker hopping seeing as I have a few.

Shame, this, was on my list as a possible first sqounking purchase. Thanks for the warning @windows Im not saying dont get one, just when you get it open it up and put some two part epoxy over the board where the 510 wire is soldered to stop the juice shorting the board.
