Two nights ago one of my laptops (Asus G1Sn-AK014C) was merrily recording my owls with Debut Video Capture (screen capture prog) when I suddenly noticed it reboot to update Windows > On rebooting I found a problem, best explained by the following pics. I recorded the same scene today on the borked lappy and an OK lappy today, to get an exact comparison. This is what it should look like: This is what it looks like now: I can't find any settings in Debut to correct this and am desperate. I wonder if anyone could install a trial of Debut and have a look at it in case I'm missed something? I know it's a lot to ask - you can uninstall it thoroughtly with Revo If anyone should be so kind - be careful not to include ASK!!! Or maybe something else on the Asus has been "damaged" by the update ??? The M11x-R1 also rebooted for the update at the same time, but it was not recording the screen and is OK.

Do a restore to before the update and see if that cures it first, windows will have auto done a restore point. See if it looks better, then try the update when the program isn't running, see if that cures it, if not the update is defo messing something up and you may need to wait for an update to the software before installing that update,

I think she's got it! Now to do the "critical update" ... ... Done the upate, all's well Debut snapshots are haywire but they used to be sometimes anyway - it's OK cos I use Greenshot instead. Thank you Tim
