god this thread took a downward turn didnt it? firstly we dont know any of the background to this video ...who knows how the pig and monkey came to be together...possibly they found each other in the wild?? maybe their forest was torn down to profit westerners and they were given a home by a kind local... simple fact we just dont know.
its not a show we are watching here, put on to entertain people. its probably something someone videoed to enter into animals do the funniest things tv program or is that wicked too? ....i see no harm in being amused by the video either, as far as i can see neither animal in any distress.
i do however care about animals and the way that man feels it can use and abuse them. i am against eating, wearing, testing, farming, hunting, working, showing, performing and using for sport/leisure and resent if the comment about lacking respect for animals was aimed at me

Gordy, couldn't have put it better myself, i am very much against animal cruely of any shape or form and firmly believe instead if testing products, medicines etc on animal they should utilise the criminal fraternity. BUT this clip cannot be described as cruel, and i don't think there is a need to go OTT about it either, it may not be to everyones taste, some may find it funny, some may not we are all different.

I'm reluctant to fan any flames here but . . . it very much looked like to me anyway, that both animals were under close supervision in a zoo/animal park surroundings of some sort. As opposed to being plucked from the wild and forced to perform for the titillation of humans, as is often the case. Or worse still if we're going to get really heavy, being skinned alive for their fur, so some vacuous person can flaunt a designer label of some sorts. Gordy posted this for it's cute appeal, which I subscribed to . . . it's a bit OTT to my way of thinking, to say we support exploitation of animals as a result.

I can't say for sure how the poor thing came to be in that situation It's just what went through my head - where's Mum? We'll never know. I may be wrong about the baboon thing too, if it's from Asia. No offence intended, and I hope none taken.

All cool with me 2risky . . . animals and their welfare are an emotive subject, we're a forum of animal lovers here, so passions and feelings are probably bound to run a little high at times.

My opinion - and that's all it was, an opinion, is just a general one. It wasn't posted with the intention of causing an argument or upsetting anyone and if it did, then I sincerely apologise.
