Are we getting friendlier??

Has anyone else noticed that Vapers are a friendly lot? sitting in traffic complete strangers wave their mods at me! even out walking they do it! I spend a lot of my year out on the Norfolk Broads playing on my boat and killing idiots with my imaginery rocket launcher, (come on you all do it in your cars) it's always been a strange custom on the N/B that you give a little wave to all the other passing boats, but this year more people have flashed their mods at me, even had a few complete strangers come over when I'm moored up and say they passed me earlier and ask what kit I'm using, that usually ends up with me telling them about this Forum and that I now buy most of my stuff from F/T, one guy nearly cried when I showed him what I paid for my Taifun GT-T v2 clone, just over £8 and he bought the original for just over £100, the worst bit was that after trying my spare attie he said it was at least as well built and actually seemed to give better flavour than his original, the day ended up with around six of us sitting around comparing kit and how too's most of which went over my head, I never let on that everything I know came from you lot on the forum, though I did surprise myself how much I did know when talking to people that have vaped a lot longer than me, mananged to convert a couple more back into vaping after showing them the F/T site, the main reason they gave up was cost, I gave them all the link to here so I'll have to keep a look out for them, might have to change my name in case they catch shinnyittus from you lot though, Yup! it's all gone weird when complete strangers come over just to say Hi! and ask what kit your using,,,,

I find that too, as when I am in Town spending my hard earned Pension on silly stuff like food, I have often been stopped, or stop a passer by where we discuss flavours and kit etc.

One remark made when a bloke saw me toting VTR2 was ''WTF is that thing ?"
He had not seen one before and had a look at it, and of course the first thing he said was "It's bloody heavy !", and asked how I could walk about with a ton and a half of metal in my hand...
I actually never really feel the weight now, as to me it is very comfortable to hold, and still looks quite neat and tidy with the 30S mounted on it.
Others compared it to a walky talkie..

But there are still chats with others and I am carrying another mod, like the Coolfire IV or MVP3 Pro. Some people already own one, or others after having a good look decide that they want one and where to get it etc.
These are usually people who are still on the usual stick batteries, and sometimes the 'Spinner' type. I think I might have increased sales of some mods, because some have wanted to upgrade to a VV/VW type mod for the better options.

But all in all, mostly the people I meet out and about are a friendly lot - some don't have the time, or perhaps don't like being accosted by some nutter waving a shiny mod about and chasing them up the road - and some pleasant chats have been enjoyed before we go our separate ways.

See I do really get this as I now feel like I'm part of an exclusive club, but one I want every smoker and to a degree non smoker to know about

First rule of vaping..... is actually to tell everyone you know that you now do not spend all your hard earned pennies on smelly cigarettes, but shiny, cloud blowing, pocket bulgers that have flavours available to them that even Willy Wonka himself would have been proud to have created

Sat in car park at tescos swerving the shopping other day and ended up have a cloud contest with two white van drivers on their lunch breaks, none of us knew each other, just the waft of custard and unearthly vape cloud pulled us together, how upset i was when the better half returned with a trolly

I've accosted a couple of very pleasant young men now in the street who I've spotted vaping whilst out doggy walking.


Lovely conversations had with the pair of them as well, mind they where probably only humouring a woman of mature years.

If it helps Perpetua my first experience of vaping was a couple months back, where I had a go on a mates kanger with big bore drip tip and @18mg nic ice mint in, which I now know to be WAY to high for me, nether the less, after I had finished coughing up a lung I said to him that I "didn't like his big end and that it was to much" he had almost died crying before I realised what I had said
