Glad to hear BrenD that your little friend has a home - even if it isn't a perfect one. Oh Q I bet you had to restrain yourself from knocking that seller over the head I would have done! At least Squirrel seems reasonably contented even if she hasn't got the perfect home and has to live with a silly name. She really is one of the nicest cats I've ever come across, such a little sweetie.

One of my tenants has a cat they called Squirell, another called Elvis & another called Fish Elvis is quite a cool name for a cat Back in my school days, a family in the village had a dog called Cat and a cat called Rat. I think they thought it was funny, but everyone else thought it was more than a little special!

One reason for the rubbing is scent marking. I moved from one flat to another just a few paces away in the same complex. Tiddles from the ground floor flat where I used to live would largely ignore me but as soon as I moved she started rubbing up against me whenever she came across me - I think to spite the cat who now lives next door. What Chrissie said sounds sensible. Female kittens that have been orphaned at an early age are can be attracted to humans.
