Has there been any suggestion that vaping in a car with children has been or is being contemplated to be banned?  The last time I read the law is hadn't, so where does this argument come from?  If this is the standard of science these days I despair.  Well maybe I don't, I go for a vape instead.

The new law coming into force on Oct 1st banning smoking in cars with children in specifically excludes e-cigs from it.. it's just more McKee garbage - about time he crawled back under his stone and stayed there

McKee and his ilk are getting more and more desperate to protect their incomes (often derived from Big Tobacco and Big Pharma in one way or another) which the mass take up of vaping will surely put an end to. They may have to find real jobs.

These are exactly the same people who say nothing when some heavy psychotropic drugs that are shown to shorten people's lives by up to 10 years are ONLY researched by big pharma (truth is they don't have shares in, or take payments in kind, from big tobacco,  but I bet they do from big pharma...)

The fact that medical debates are so influenced by this stuff makes me mad

Not directly, no but through big tobacco giving money to research in Uni's, directly to big Pharma, Governments, Taxation etc. they get their hands on it. A lot of it.

True, but the big pharma thing is rather more rife (and more open) than the big tobacco thing in the medical world. I think the profession is still a bit embarrassed by the first research fiasco around tobacco products... also, I reckon this embarrassment informs their attitude to vaping.

I've heard it said that at any time you are in a hospital, there are likely to be around 70 sales reps from pharma companies there at the same time...  great book on this by Ben Goldacre called Bad Pharma: How Medicine is Broken, and How We Can Fix It...

And they can't do research into vaping as they would be clearly biased against. Back to serving Big Macs and Cola for the lot of them. On second thoughts they've probably attacked McDonalds, Burger King etc. as the Spawn of Satan so they're all Bu****ed.
