I haven't used these before but samsung rate then as 15A continuous cells. I's stick to the 25Rs for 100W, and even then only on dual cell mods.

kreed - it's always a trade off between a higher mah rating and continuous discharge, from what I understand. I'm sure someone else can explain it in words of more than one syllable, but the lower mah around 2500 have a higher continuous discharge limit, and these are better for high watt/low ohm vaping.

I would expect this to be a decent battery(not been able to track down the data sheet for it) It is obviously the next step up for the 25R having an increased capacity=30Q They usually try to improve on older designs by increasing the cycle life so a capacity increase a big improvement on the 25R Whether or not there has been a trade off in cycle life or capacity\power over the life of the battery which they usually measure at the 250 cycle mark (which is 60% with the 25R) I dont know, without looking at that data sheet. The samsung INR range has always been a very safe battery and hard to kill. When it does pass on its always in a peaceful manner so i wouldn't expect that to change with this new version.(again the data sheet would have the test results on it to be sure)

hijackinr18650 30q data sheethope this helps you. Not the most informative data sheet around, but the best I could find. As you thought it's 60% capacity at the 250 cycle mark at max discharge (15A in this case) so they would be fine for moderate current draws. I'd still prefer the 25R for (in dual cell mods) for 100W output. The extra headroom makes a ton of difference. As for the next step up for the 25R, I can't agree. They are intended for a different application. Lower current draw in exhange for higher energy density. They would be great on mechs down to about 0.4 ohms, and would be living too close to the edge after this, whereas the 25R can hit 0.25 ohms with 25% headroom. The same thing applies on regulated devices. The 30Q would be fine for moderate wattages (35-40 per cell) but the 25Rs would be preferable above that. Would be really interesting to see some in depth independent tests though. No doubt they are good cells, great for those who vape at lower current/power drains, but not as safe at the higher limits preferred by others. As for the OP, at 100W, I'd prefer the headroom provided by the 25Rs higher max current drain rating.

I have spoken to isabel22 about stocking batteries in the EU warehouse robby as they would make a killing......but she said the increased transport costs to move them there would then make them not competitive any more Sending them an order at a time from China ........they can afford to keep prices low.
