I think the days of me using cartos in a tank is over. Recently bought a few boxes and so far not one has performed as it should. Obviously this is very frustrating.
Now I'm on the hunt for something simple yet effective to replace my current set up. If anyone can offer advice then it would be greatly appreciated.

hissie ... I gave all my boge cartos and a couple of carto tanks to my grandson about 6 months ago and he was vaping them quite happily. He gets a lot of my cast offs and always comes to me to see if I have anything for him before he would go out and buy something. He came last week and I gave him a subtank mini and a few 1.2 ohn coil heads which I wouldn't have used and he is over the moon with the difference compared to LR boge cartos. He is vaping them at 15 watts mouth to lung and he wonders how he was so happy with the boges for do long.

I've got some LR dual coils and a wee gripper mod if you are interested hissie - it'll be a big clear out of vape box (there's at least 50!!!) so I'll need £5 postage but let me know Otherwise I'd recommend an RG400 from fast tech with SOCC protank heads The links are RG400 and for the heads - any of theseBuy in bulk. the heads can fall out a little but are fine ...Used them on holiday - happy vape days!!! JAne PS. need any more info on the SOCC heads it was VE Jason who put me onto them:) - waaaaayyyy better than any other protank heads!!!

hissie have you considered rebuildable cartomisers? I use atmistiques diver v2's and readymade fastech wires, and they are simple if a little fiddly, I say this because fasttech have clone ones for a few quid and might be worth a punt...... Another option could be naturevapes cartos, you just rewick, if you feel rebuildables are too much faff and it would mean you didnt just waste all your carto tanks

I bought one of the diver clones from fasttech after not being able to find any lr Boge but I can't for the life of me get it to work, I am somewhat limited as I have arthritis so it keeps getting put at the back of my vape box till I can conquer it (I will not be beaten)

Thanks for the replies folks. I will check out all the recommendations. Hopefully I won't get bamboozled lol.
I use a vv/vw Vamo and other similar mods. I usually vape between 8.5w to 9.5w and have always used LR cartos.
I'm now finding that cartos are getting far too unreliable and now need a set up that I can count on.

How much are you wanting for these? £5 for the dual coil LR smok cartos (you can't put them in a tank I think?) complete with wee gripper (if I can find all these? - that is the big question LOL And the RG range - ask Pepperty - basically just needle bottle/needle fill - take apart (just screw off) and pop in new SOCC head - it's like a protank head but no priming time and really great. It may fall out when you refill the tank but that's nothing to worry about and I have smaller things in my vape kit (Kayfun fill screws anyone? at 3am? )

Sorry Jane, I misread your post. I'm not wanting any cartos, I was talking about the RG range. They're very similar to Protanks . . . . I've feeling you may have tried them Hissie, although I could be wrong. Have a look on here Hissie: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/board/55/sub-ohm-vapingYou'll need a device that can handle sub ohm vaping safely, plus be prepared to use a far lower nic strength and go through eliquid very quickly. It's a completely different ( though enjoyable ) style of vaping to what you've been used to. My suggestion for you, would be a Mini Nautilus tank perhaps combined with an iStick for a complete change . . . . .

hissieAs things stand at the moment with the present line up I would say that the best way forward for you at the moment is a nautilus All you then need to do is replace the coil heads as they wear. Each head will last at least as long as a boge. The nautilus provides excellent mouth to lung flavour and can provide the draw that you're used to from using boges. It's a dead simple system and very easy to work with. There's a big 22mm tank (the same width as your vamos) myepack.co.uk/aspire-nautilus-bdc-clearomiser.htmlor a thinner smaller version myepack.co.uk/aspire-nautilus-mini.html

Thanks perpy and blakey. I'll take a look.
Are they reliable? Could you also post the link to the spares please.
Checked out the istick and to be honest I don't think I could get used to it. I'm used to big heavy mods lol. In fact I need a new one of those aswell.
Not sure I have used the protank perpy. Can't remember changing coils or anything.
