I am using the riva with standard boge carts for most of the flavoured liquids i have ( in fact got the grizwald caramel on the go at the moment )... find i get a good long draw, nice flavour and plenty of vape.
Now ( and this is my primary reason for getting the LT ) I am using the more baccy flavours like HS Delight and cured flue (?) etc. in standard DCT tanks.... appreciate i need to se the voltage to 3.7 because of the tanks, but not getting the nice draw like the Riva. am i doing something wrong? the HS delight tastes better ( less harsh and more vape ) through the RIVA still..... should i be getting 3ohm carts for the LT tanks and using a longer chrome drip tip to get the best from it. i want a big hit and loads of smoke??
more noob questions i am afraid... i'm so rubbish am already thinking i need to get a provari to replace the LT to get the effect i want. and in all likelihood thats not going to make any difference is it?

Dual coil should give you more vape than single coil..
What ohmage are the dual coil carts that you are using in the tank?

If they are these: freedomvape.co.uk/shop/article_28/3.5ml-DCT-Tank-System.html?shop_param=cid%3D7%26aid%3D28%26and you got 1.5-1.7 ohm carts, you need to be vaping at higher voltage because they will be made up of 2 x 3 ohm coils in parallel... At 3.7 volts you are only passing 1.23 amps through each coil..That's why. Unfortunately due to current limitations of the LT you can max only put 2.5 amps through the device and you are already at the limit. A 2.5 ohm standard single coil cart will give you much better performance at around 4.7-4.8 volt mark. I wouldn't buy dual coil carts for the LT or any device that restricts current at 2.5 amps. Just put your standard boge cart on your LT and try it at 4.5 volts and you'll see what I mean.

Dual coil carts will not give you satisfactory performance on your LT regardless of their spec..
You need to be able to pass 1.6-1.8 amps through each coil for good performance like you are looking for, which will mean a current draw of 3.2-3.6 amps. The LT only does 2.5 max. When you demand more amperage from it, it just drops the voltage.
So simply put, avoid dual coils and use single coil carts and you will have much more leeway for adjusting voltage. So ideal setup for you would be a 3 ohm cart at 5 -5.5 volts or a 2.5 ohm cart at 4.5-4.8 volts.
2.5-2.8 ohm carts are standard and easily available and all you need to do is put a hole through them. So that's what I would try first.

James

Or are you sorted now?
That RY0 tastes totally different in a carto compared to when i direct dripped it.
Going to have to persevere with that one i think
