Hhmmm if you have tried it at varying voltages and still not happy ??? ??? Try taking the whole assembly off the LT, give it a blow through from top, clean both carto and LT connection (in case you have poss flooded) put back on and work up through the voltages. You should hear the carto crackle or hiss, that shows it is working OK. If still no good, you may have a duff carto.

the tank is still full. pretty much as was when i initially filled it. the little hole ( which i assume you mean is the punch ( please bear with me this is totally new to me - and these things aren't cheap ))appears to have an air bubble around it most of the time.
i took the drip tip off and the wadding looked dry like new, so i added more liquid until it started dripping through the bottom...\
net result is no improvement

As you vape you should see air bubbles come out of the hole. Are you getting any crackling/hissing from the carto?

you know what Roger, i think ( and i apologise profusely if this is the case ), it is the battery... i purchased an ultra fire with the standard 2, which i have been using ( pressing the button 7 times to check charge and it was charged )... the unit shorted out on me with the ultra fire. i reinserted it, turned it on and as soon as i pressed the tape button, unit switched off.. replaced with fully charged regular battery and things seem better... will do some experimenting but maybe got a duff battery... will report back to close the thread if this is the case, but apologise for wasting your time.
the battery said it was charged and i had only just put it in, used the regular charger that came with the unit......

take the tank off and blow through it into a tissue... looks like you have flooded it ...this would give you the tight draw and lack of vapour you have mentioned

I 'll have to defer to Gordy who has a lot more experience..
However, my 2.1 ohm single coil echomisers vape far better than my dual coil 2.2 ohm echos for the same juice and it's not a one off. The SC's produces more vapour, warmth and flavour over the DC at 4.2 volts. I cut a SC and a DC open and I think I understand why but don't want to go into it any details and confuse anyone.
I would just experiment jlowdo and find your right setup.

No worries, not wasting my time at all, we all want to help you get the best out of your kit. Let us know how it goes with a decent battery. Don't use Ultrafires, don't trust them for some reason.

well, after changing the battery, blew through the tank and a load of liquid came through.... is it possible i've b*ggered the tank as it still doesn't want to work even with the decent battery?
