Ay up don't slag off the 510 atties....first e-cig stuff (About 5 years ago - the titan battery and not enough of them was where it failed for me)....then (still is for some) cartridge+atomiser+battery - and you had the joy of filling the cartridge with fish filter

and the titan kit (cigalike) was about £60!!!

No one ever seems to remember the old bud atomisers:( looking back now they really are ancient and I still remember the joy of my first ego battery which I thought was massive! I also remember the excitement over the Stardust clearo and the fafing with the ce2's which were actually a good vape.

Never managed to get on with the cartos though.

Now a days I'm more than happy with my kayfuns and drippers...still feel ancient though lol

Now you are revisiting a distant past. That was when you could still buy penny chews and twin tub washing machines 1st appeared.
I do wonder whether all this new fangled stuff is really any better than what I started with.
Or is it just good marketing feeding the frenzy. Hmm.

On balance, I'd have to say yes it is unclegromit . . . . from the reliability, consistency aspect if nothing else.

I guess it boils down to what it takes to keep any of us from smoking and as long as it does, then that's all that matters really.

I remember getting an ecigar after my 510 cartridge kit, hoping the wider cartridge would mean longer vape times but I think the atty was actually built into the device, plus it was an auto battery but it came with small replaceable batteries so was in a way a mod. It didnt do too well though after a while, could have been due to the 36mg liquid or something that ended up making me cough every time lol. I found the flavors were quite nice though back then although quite simple. Had a great apple liquid, but prices were like around £15 per 15ml, then after a few years you could get em around £10 for 30ml and it kept dropping, kind of strange how prices then shot up again at least just for premium eliquid. I suppose eliquids are even cheaper than 3 yeas ago if you look around though heh
I did use those bud attys for a while too lol, very small eliquid volume on those. Plus that 6ml ce4 type atty with giant wicks, never got em to work properly lol about 90% of my top coil attys just flooded and overheated at the time! I think alot was to do with very tightly wrapped coils and silica not wicking as fast as cotton or something, plus the thin wires that couldnt handle much power.
Its hilarious the messy coils made back then from wrapping around some silica, nowadays using a bar or screwdriver its so much easier!

In my vape box I still have a vivi nova and some cartos and the blue fish filter stuff. I have a carto tank too. Think there's some silica wick as well haha.

Evods were such a revelation after the CE4 things.

I remember when Screwdrivers were the must have mod and everyone getting lavatubes too. I remember before 510 became the standard fitting for everything.

yea the amount of silica still being sent out with attys n blue screwdrivers is crazy lol
those lavatubes were not bad really they handled the low volts nice with no pulsing, its crazy how after that theres still devices that dont do that! they might go up to 100s of watts but low watts they sometimes dont bother with too well! The biggest thing with vamos vs the lavatube was the ohms meter and variable wattage finally

Yes mate i'm still making a few, no where near the amount way back when but I still get a few orders per week from all over the globe. I very, very rarely use them myself anymore though as I usually stick with a Subtank most days.

Took me ages before I got one - then I killed it one fine sunny day putting in a handbag with a leaky water bottle enroute to an allotment

So long ago I am the original mod destroyer

Back in the day before I'd even gotten my hide leather saddle bag cheap from Germany (and had that 2-3 years) - so ancient days!!!!

The german bag by the way is also very good for mod destroying (called non zippy front compartment LOL)

I am so good on mod destroying I should maybe write an amazon e-book on it?
