Boots vg is the value health glycerin peter12 I've also used glycerin from Lloyds chemist which is only slightly dearer and saves a trip into town. I know some other use glycerin from Superdrug as well

The more nic base you buy the cheaper it is, 100ml is a very unecconomical volume, I think most folk are looking at larger volume buys atm what with the TPD looming the implications of which may barr eu vendors selling nic base at the strengths currently available..
The shelf life especially if stored in a freezer is years.. so even if you only mix a few branded concentrates to suppliment your juice consumption it wont be a bad investment.
**edit btw pirate vapes will send out a 10 ml sample of nic base for postage if you want to dip your toes into mixing and test their products ..

Perpetua the boots product I found was the right or wrong one? Will have to look for their pg too then. Although the prices at pirates vape on vg pg seemed pretty reasonable. £7.50 a litre for pg or vg. Nic was £13 for 100ml so not sure on value. But phatfil said they produce quality products. However the aim is to make the juice for low cost The right one peter12, Boots just have the one plain VG . . . . although they don't stock PG, I've heard that some Chemists are prepared to order it if you ask. You might get the Inquisition on what it's intended for though. As you're buying Nic Base it's probably easier just to pick some up at the same time from a Vendor. Perhaps take a look at UK Flavours also for supplies: www.ukflavours.com/57-nicotine

UK flavours have cheaper nicotine and free shipping which is cool. So I think I'll get nic from there. However their vg and pg per litre is £2.50 more per product. So ill stick with boots I think and probably try 100%vg so I don't need to order pg separately

Your concentrates will be suspended in PG, unless stated otherwise peter12 . . . . so you'll still have a PG element in your mixes, how much depends on the concentration of flavour you use. If you do find the finished mixes a little thick then you can always dilute with a small amount of distilled water or vodka to make them less gloopy. I use very little PG thesedays being PG intolerant, though it's worth having a small bottle in for making up some of the additive solutions, like Menthol or Vanillin - if and when you should decide to try these.

Really? What for? Also do the needles attach to all syringes. (Are they universal)

The blunt needles are universal and attach to all syringes peter12 and are needed to get into the concentrate flavour bottles to measure that. You can get them from eBay with the syringes I don't use pipettes at all though I did buy some when I started mixing found that I never used them

I don't ever bother with needles peter12 . . . . preferring to decant my VG and Nic Base into a measuring cup/shot glass then draw up from there. Nor are they necessary for concentrate bottles, pop the dropper top off and use a 1ml syringe - worth getting a couple at least of that size.

TBH i find it easier to pour the vg and pg into a whisky tumbler put them into different areas with the vg/pg bottle beside them so i don't mix up which one is which, then draw it out of them with the syringe with no needle attached as its bloody hard to get the vg through any needle. then when finished i just use a small funnel and pour any unused back into the bottle.

When mixing more than 20ml These are handy, saves using/cleaning syringes/needles between flavours.
