Smok X Cube II - fire button sticking

I tried everything under the sun, but only got it going when my son put the app on his phone for me (my phone is a tin can and some string) although it is possible to use SS wire and change the settings for nickel. It seems to perform just as well. I tried Bluestacks and a few other apps with a bluetooth 4 dongle on the PC but it never recognised the Xcube as something it could connect to bones3

Juust be aware that you have to re initialise SS and Titanium via the phone ap. The upgrade done on a PC wipes the firmware and starts again so you lose the SS and Titanium. Presumably once you have paid for it you can go to the ap and restart it

Yes, I`ve done it, but because I did it on the PC ap, it`s lost the SS and Titanium option, and my son (with the Iphone) has buggered off to Spain, how thoughtless I am assuming I can re enable them when he gets back. It works fine, I`ll never do 180 watts (not sure anyone should with the battery options available) The upgrade went without a hitch though kreed

Going to do mine later robby did you use the older upgrade software where you can erase before the upgrade or the newer one robby ??

The one on the SMOK page www.smoktech.com/hotnews/products/x-cube-two-firmware-upgrade-guide . That one automatically erases the previous version dalealan

I'm not fussed with SS and Ti.

Have yet to be convinced of their benefits.

Glad to hear that it went on ok though.

Wonder what else they tweaked.

You checked the temp control robby ? Seems a bit underpowered compared to the older firmware but it could all be in my head

Seems okay to me dalealan, I`ve had to go back to experimental mode as I cant be arsed making a nickel coil (nickel mode is all I have at the moment) so with the dual coil SS setup it`s working fine at 250F. A nice warm flavourful vape on the SS coils.

Hmmm well I've got an ni200 .2 ohm coil walloped up to 500f and it's not exactly kicking my throat out. It's the only ni coil I have so it might just be past its best.

You might want to try upping the resistance in SETTINGS , F.ADJ OHMS. Up it to .21 and see what that`s like  It doesn`t sound like much, but can make a massive difference dalealan
