I just wanted to post a message to thank the OP and all of those kind people here that took the time to reply to him and offer advice. Coming from a mostly reddit forum background, the attitude and help here just takes your breath away in comparison.
The main reason for posting this is to remind everyone that when you help someone like this, it is quite likely that you are not just helping the OP, but helping many others too, who mostly lurk but suck up the information offered like a vacuum cleaner. I am one of those people.
I tried vaping early last year and failed. I bought an Innokin iTaste VTR and iClear 30s's. It was fine and pleasant and all and I could see what all the fuss was about, but ultimately it just wasn't enough for me at the time to stop me smoking. That said, I've vaped on occasion over the last year and the VTR has served me well and I've enjoyed it for what it became, the occasional cig' replacer.
Then I discovered the Manabush range of juices a couple of weeks ago (wow they are good - Nokomis is my favourite I think). It was soooo nice that it instantly led me to cut down on the cig's (20+ a day) and in just a week I'm now down to 3 or 4 cigs a day and nearly ready to stop them all. Then I saw that 15W was no longer considered high and these juices could taste so much nicer, and I researched here and elsewhere for the last week, just not sure whether to take the plunge on new kit again.
I was going to get an iSub G tank (which I now understand would not have worked on the VTR anyway). Then I found this thread this morning. It made me think about tanks and replacement coils (I've always wondered why I can't make my own coils as it seems such a waste). It made me think about ohms and it made me think about watts. It made me think about straight to lung and mouth to lung and what type of smoker I am. It made me think about Nicotine strengths. And it made me think about the mod I'm using.
Whilst I have not taken all of the advice offered here (the mod), this thread focused my mind, educated me, and changed my direction. I've just ordered an Innokin Disupter (it's new, it's Innokin and my VTR has served me well so why not?) and a Kanger Subtank Mini, plus a few extra 1.5 coils to keep my going while I get used to it all and get my head around using the included kit to eventually start making my own coils - and perhaps, one day, also try this sub ohm vaping I hear so much about.
Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you and it seems I've written a book, sorry. But thank you. All of you. For helping the Op, and me, and many many others I am sure.

@hondo Nice post, and all good valid points put across very well. The Innokin Disruptor is a good MOD by all accounts (I don't have one) One of the hardest parts of vaping is to find a juice that suits you, 5+ years down the line and I only really vape 2 flavours, you seem to have cracked it and I am pleased for you. You may find as time goes on that you require a stinky less and less and enjoy vaping more and more and before you know it you may well have stopped. But no biggie if you still smoke a few, count the ones you don't smoke not the ones you do. If you are a lurker then please say hello, we don't bite! *honest*

@hondo from me, ifyou only have a vtr the subtank won't fit, it is 22mm and the largest for a vtr is19 mm.I believe the subtank nano is 19mm. rorocalhoun perhaps you missed my post but don't throw away your used heads, Ivan coil and wick them for you (I don't charge) only ask return postage.

@hondo - nice post & welcome aboard
After playing with vaping for quite a while, I still couldn't quite get off the fags. It was good, but not good enough, until I discovered lung inhales on a subtank mini. That was the turning point for me, within 48hours I stopped smoking & haven't had the desire to smoke again.
We're all different, so other peoples journey will be different, but I'm assured that with the right support. most cigarette smokers could get off the ciggies. Just need to find what works for them.

Thanks all for the kind welcome and encouragement, even though I have been lurking here for 18+ months :-)
Des, I know what you mean about the juices and on reflection I think it was the juices that mostly contributed to me giving up vaping the first time around (that and my own lack of willpower). At first it was really exiting ordering and trying all of these fun new flavours, but that soon led to annoyance when I just couldn't find something I could vape all day. Walnut Whip flavour for example is fun for 3 minutes, but all I ended up with was 40+ bottles of exotic flavours gaining dust. That's just me - I realise we all like different things.
I then discovered something that I can only explain as smelling like roasting old socks on damp firewood, but it tasted better thankfully and so I stuck with it for over a year. Then recently whilst looking for an RY4 variant (a flavour I read so much about but oddly never tried) I discovered a link to Manabush. What I love about Manabush is that their whole range has a core dark maple tobacco base, so if you like the core base you are on to a winner, as the rest of the range just adds different subtle twists on top of that.
Cheers Reefcat, I am really positive about it this time and your comment encourages me. The Disrupter and Subtank Mini should be arriving today. I expect I will have to order more juice before I try it properly as I only have 18mg nicotine, but I wanted to just try the 1.5ohm coil with 18mg (holes closed) to see what nicotine level to order as I will buy big bottles this time and want to get it right.
I'm excited to try this - fingers crossed! And thanks again all.
