Welcome rorocalhounNo panic.. there are only a few shameful brands in e-cigs, and it sounds like you avoided them all. E-Lites are the Kings of the useless-ecigs-scam. Blu are less shameful but as they are also a tobacco company even their 'better' products don't pull them out of the gutter of shame. Vapestick... you could have done worse. Cheaper, yes, but not the end of the world. Most of my liquid is either £1 or 75p bought in bulk. Good luck!

rorocalhoun and congrats in staying off the cigs for 18 months already, I was lucky and found these guys after a week of 'meh' gear and it's improved my vaping experience tremendously. Emptied my wallet some too Haven't got any advice to add, hope you get on with the new kit (haven't tried the mod but can vouch for the tank).

Welcome to AAEC forum rorocalhoun and congratulations on your 18 months of vaping that's applaudable in itself, and being all on starter gear that is impressive! The debang eliquid is adequate but it really is the lower end of the taste chain and if you do really like the stuff I think its rebranded dekang eliquid that you can buy in much larger quantities and much cheaper than £4.99 for 10ml. You will probably have to triple your daily usage amount if you are steering towards a subtank as they do use far more eliquid than a simple throwaway clearomiser so do be prepared for that we can steer you towards good value suppliers though!

Good choice with the subox rorocalhoun will get you going in the right direction. My wife still uses hers daily and it works very well. It won't be long before you're drooling over the latest new piece of kit, like the rest of us Any more questions just ask

Hey everyone!
My Subox arrived today! Woohoo!
Just tried my first hit, man it is so different!
it feels a cleaner, more efficient burn but a lot more smoke. I've had to set it on the smallest hole for now as anything else is too much!
Took me a while to work everything out and I was in fear of blowing the coil! I've got it at 26w, which is what was suggested on the side of the coil - I dare not to push it higher in case it breaks it.
Although really early days, this is so much superior to my vapestick. My have to invest in some "proper" e-liquids now! While you guys suggest it burns through them more quickly, if I can get them for £1 - £2 I'll probably save some money still!
I like the sound of this shiny-itis - but you guys must still be saving having stopped by cigarettes?

Saving?... perhaps.... one day....
Cant put a price on better health though right?
Youre unlikely to break your coil but you will get a burnt taste if you go too high and your juice cant keep up. Every liquid has a perfect (to you) wattage to vape at, find what your comfortable and happy with and stick with it, smaller holes will produce smaller clouds but more flavour, with the caveat of a warmer vape, that goes with more air = more vapour and a cooler vape but slightly less flavour, again all about comfort.
Dont forget to prime your new coils with juice before you fill your tank, or you will ruin your cotton inside the coil and get a burnt taste that will not go away. something most of do once.
Enjoy your new kit

Glad you're enjoying it And don't worry you won't break anything, the worst you could do is burn the wick in the coil if you turn the power up too far. If you really want to save a bundle on juice at some point you should look into making your own, take a look see at the mixology section plenty of recipes to be found and it really is just as simple as measuring things out sticking them all in a bottle and shaking it up to mix it together. Some stuff needs to be left for a while to steep(mature) before vaping.
