Thanks Anne.
Alvo has put links on for different batteries, which ones are the best for the LT?

The panasonic seem to be highly rated Hissie, and the Mah rating is, I believe, a true rating. Ebay Link

Guys and girls in the know... is there such a thing as a real ultrafire battery, and a fake... Because the one Ed was kind enough to send me, free of charge, with my lavatube is still going... after 18 hours of VERY heavy (well for me anyway) first day usage, I mean I've been playing around with this thing a lot, can't put it down, on all sorts of voltages from 3 up to 6, mostly at 4.5. It's been reading 3.7 on the battery for absolutely ages, and still is. What is going on, is that normal, or even poor for an 18650, because everywhere I've looked, not just on this forum, has said that ultrafire are rubbish. But still going strong, and with life in it still, 18 hours is a long time for a battery, I'm very impressed.

ahhh vaping, and experience hey?
Some things can simply only be learnt through experience, for me anyway. I now understand what it is with Ultrafire. It's true, they are lasting me, quite a long time, they are still displaying 3.7 volts. But now they won't vape at 4.5v, the screen keeps flashing as if the battery was dead, despite what the voltage read out says. A quick google search seems to indicate that this is because of "the high drain differential." Does that sound right to the more experienced amongst us? No real big problem it still allows me to vape at 4.0... At least for now.

Well alvo, what is fake and what is real in the world of batteries from China is a question open to deep philosophical debate! The coloured wrapper on the outside can contain anything from top quality Panasonic cells to re-cycled butchered laptop battery cells or possibly even worse. Buying cheap batteries is a bit of a lottery therefore. Personally I prefer to stick with established reliable vendors and they have enough trouble sorting the wheat from the chaff. "High Drain" or IMR batteries do have different characteristics from other types of Li-on batteries and can perform better under load, but I won't attempt a full technical explanation!

But 4.5V / 2.9 Ohm = 1.55amp draw requested of the battery, which will mean the battery is constantly overstressed, and eventually, as it discharges, it won't be able to provide enough amps to keep running at 4.5V at all... Or something like that, I think, maybe, lol Best stick to high drain then? Unless you want to be forever recharging batteries before they're fully discharged.

How long your batteries last? One of the ones I got lasted quite a while, the other one maybe half a day.
Think I will have to invest in 2 new ones.

My Moju ones are lasting the best part of the day. The trustfire ones last about 6 hours if that!

Loving my LT, but I can go through batteries like there is no tomorrow lol.
Must use at least 2 a day & I've just bought a new one. Although, I've mixed them up, so now don't know which is the new one.
What voltage do you let them drop to before needing to re-charge them?
