Wismec Reuleaux DNA200 Triple 18650 Mod

Looks like Wismec will be releasing a triple 18650 DNA200 soon and it looks pretty natty too.
Might actually find myself buying a DNA200 mod.

ETA weren't seeing pics when I posted, but looks like a great form factor for 3 18650s, I though about building something along these lines but would need a mill, think I will take pass as really happy with the 900 mAh LiPo devices I have.

Dimensions i found are 83.8mm tall, 50.2mm long and 39.2mm wide.

Which is impressive and a very nice looking mod, LiPo are better power to size ratio.  And you generally want to keep these batteries as a matched treo of new batteries (although with the DNA200 it is not necessary as each cell is monitored) so might as well have a smaller battery with more power.   I originally really wanted my DNA200 to use 18650s, but have changed my mind on that one.

I have got so used to LiPos now I am forgetting the ability to carry spares, I have 2 DNA200 and 2 4x18650 powerbanks so it has not been a problem even camping without a power hook ups, but that is a valuable feature.

they've done well making a triple 18650 thats is(from quoted dimensions), very compact and small. Looks pretty cool.
Think they should have squeezed a higher voltage LiPo in there like VapingBad suggests though, it may have turned out a bit slimmer.

Choice is good and this mod looks really good, but just too big (fat) for me, if it was in my collection I would always pick up a smaller one for preference.

Personally i have zero interest in using LiPo's which is why i've avoided buying a DNA200 up to this point.
You can argue the risk of thermal runaway is low but sooner or later we are going to start hearing stories of these things failing and it's not going to be pleasant if it's in someones hand and it won't do vaping any favours if it happens in public, the press will have a field day.
It's just a numbers game, even if you take user error and everything else out of the equation there's still no such thing as a 100% error free manufacturing process.

A fizz and a pop might turn a couple of heads but a massive jet of flame is going to make headlines and maybe seriously hurt someone.

Got to agree with you Get Off My Cloud .... That looks like a winner to me. Compact, changeable batteries and sexy as hell with it's little winking eye.

I'm finding myself strangely drawn to this mod, it'd replace that seven22 I have sitting on the bedside table for them waking in the night and easy to grab mod moments

I've got to admit it does appeal to me too. Be nice to have changeable batteries to make it an out and about mod. With my VT200 I'm to worried about running out of power before the day is out.

I have the Wismec Presa and use it alot - great quality, really comfortable to hold and looks nice but that Reuleaux is a sexy looking beast indeed, me likey!
