DNA40 box mod build

This is the second of two one-off DNA40 box mods I've made over the past few months.



The outside case is carved from a solid piece of black walnut (not a technique that I'll be repeating before I invest in some expensive tools!) and the rest is fixed to an aluminium plate so that it all slides in and out of the wooden casing. Sliding out the innards gives access to change the single 18650 battery and reveals the screen and switches.

The fire switch is in fact a mechanical keyboard switch with a fancy metal key-cap. It's lovely and light and makes a satisfying click when contact is made.
