Need more info here please. What "doesn't work"? The mod, or the atty? What are you putting on it? What wire? What Ohms?

It's a decent mod, so please don't just spit out your dummy and scream "It doesn't work.....I'm gutted", calm down and ask questions. I am using one with a Cthulhu (dual coil) at 0.14 ohms Ni @35watts and 420F as I type this. It is working fine. I don't have the ohms locked either. So maybe there is a simple solution. You just got it today. Give it a chance. All your overreaction does is create panic with others who might buy this good mod.

Sorry for the rant, but I see this too much lately. Take time to learn your new devices, whether they are mods or tanks.

I'm using the ego one that came with it and ni coil .4 think it is.

Iv seen a lot of people having the same issue as me.

What is happening is it don't read the ohm correct ( not far out tho ) and it never asked if it's a new coil ( like on vaper trails video ) then if I try to take a toot on it it just flashes up temp protection even tho the coil is wet.

What colour is the O-Ring around the coil head? (should be Blue)

If its a NI200, should read 0.2....

Check the coil is secure, some of them came with the coil loose, like mine was, also make sure the wire is spaced.

I've done some research on this mod since you raised this problem you have minime. It seems that some or the mods have the issues you are having. Where did you get it? And can you contact them. Joytech are not saying anything about the problem you (and some others) have. But if you are one of the unlucky few, it seems there is no fix, unless you can return for an exchange.

It came from gearbest tim, I found out about this issue after I had ordered it and sent Isabel a PM to ask if she knew anything about this problem but she never answered me.

minime I had the same issue with both the 0.2 Ni and 0.4 Ti coils that came with the ego one mega (supplied tank).

It was like the coil was shorting the device, low battery warning, even though the batteries were fully charged. Purchased replacement coils and these worked fine.

I looked at the dodgy coils and the replacements coils to see if there was a difference.

On both the dodgy coils the wires were sitting inside the gold connector, on the new ones it was in between the plastic sleeve and the outside of the gold connector.

You know what happened next, right? Removing the sleeve on the dodgy coils and making sure the wire was in between the sleeve and gold connector fixed the issue.

The atomizers resistance is something 0.01 out, but I can live with that. The v1.2.0 update seems to help as well.

The ultimate fix. Ditch the tank and get a Smok TCT. So good I am about to order another

I've had mine for a whole three days and the only problem regarding resistance detection has been with a dual Ni200 coiled dripper, my Sigelei and D2 both read it at 0.086-0.089, the Evic says that its 0.09 but simply by tapping the fire button to lock the resistance it goes up to 0.1.
I take it off reset the resistance put it back on 0.9...then it locks agin at 0.1, no new coil/same coil request. A 0.09 subtank rba build is bang on and the evic will ask new/same coil if its warm. I assume its not liking the rda so I bunged it (the rda) in the fridge for a few minutes and reset it at 0.9
