The unboxing A variable wattage device with a range from 3 to 40 watts and a limit of 9.5 amps. Atomisers down to 0.3 ohms are suitable. The device does not have Temp Control. The device exterior is mainly polycarbonate and available in black, blue and red with ghost white to follow in due course. I chose the black. The top, bottom and switch plate are all brushed stainless steel. It feels really great in the hand due to the curves on each side and as usual with a Provape device it feels solid in the hand and has no rattles or poorly finished parts. The Radius is designed to be charged by USB and the cable is supplied with the device. It's also supplied complete with a green Samsung 25R pre-installed. The 25R can be replaced although it takes a little longer than some mods given access is via two thumbscrews. The thumbscrews simply screw out, no tools required. Once both thumbscrews are removed the bottom faceplate complete with spring comes away - the spring plays no part in the electrical circuit and for this reason the IQ feature of the P3 does not feature on the Radius. Lifting the the brass battery negative connector always removal / replacement of the battery. The screen is small and bright and easy to read showing batt level, atty resistance and set power. The fire button is similar to previous Provari buttons, soft yet positive and smooth as silk. The two much smaller up and down buttons are far more clicky. Holding down all 3 buttons together toggles the device on and off. Holding the up and down buttons together locks these two buttons. Size wise it's about the same height as a P3 in 18350 mode. A P3 connector is available should you wish to use an atty with a P3 connection. The P3 connector The micro USB port is on the side of the device, a small rubber loose bung is provided to waterproof the port but I doubt I'll use the bung. The menu system is very similar to the P3 using the fire button only to navigate the menu structure, odd at first but very intuitive once you become accustomed to it, any Provari uses will take to it immediately. Once the device is set up to your liking there's little need to enter the menu system very often unless you decide to use the profiles for different atties or like changing LED colours in the buttons regularly. Power up and down as well as the on/off function have been removed from the menu system and are now accessed by additional buttons as described above. Firmware is user upgradeable via PC and USB port. If the Radius detects you are using a battery that cannot handle the power output, it will limit the output to something that is safe.

I've not tried it although I do have the atty. It was absolute garbage on my DNA40 and suspect it needs more than 40watts. For that reason I'd say probably not

I have to say that the device looks really good, how's it performing Greg? So far so good Paul, although only had it a few hours. I've given up on 40 watts vaping about a month ago and have returned to around 20 watts and find it just as satisfying. I changed around the same time I went zero nic, you could say ive opted out of the vaping rat race

Do you have a Kabuki Greg ? If not, I can't recommend them highly enough and have used nothing else for the past few months. Take the Nautilus coils but they've been maximised by Zen for flavour, so you wouldn't believe they were Nautilus coils at all. Also, takes advantage of the P3 thread to keep the size down a bit more.

My only reservation is im not sure if they are airy enough for lung inhales ?

Not sure to be honest because I only MTL. But, when I first set one up I do have to screw the adjuster in a long way to get it to suit me. The good thing is that once you've set it up, it doesn't matter how many times you change the coil or refill - the airflow remains 100% the same.

It is a great looking mod and being a Provari it should last a good few years. The 40 watts and 9.5 volts limits are fine for me but the lack of temperature limiting means it won't be on my Christmas list I'm sorry to say.
