Hi I'm not totally new to vaping but last time i gave it a proper go was about 2 years ago and had a Riva 1100 i think. I see things have moved on alot since! Which is what i need help with now! What battery and tank would people recommend for me to start with? I know when i last vaped i was really struggling with my chest feeling really heavy/tight (which is why it never lasted for me) but guessing this is more to do with the juice. I am feeling a lot more commited this time just need to find the right set up (and hopefully not waste too much money looking for it, which is why i've came here!)

Most start with a mini nautilus or a kanger nano on a small box like a istick 20 or similar, myself would say if you are committed to it go for a kanger subtank mini on a 30/50 watt box that way you can start with the 1.5 or 1.2 coils on the smallest air hole setting for mouth to lung vaping (like you would with a normal cig). then you can if you want move up to the 0.5 coils for sub-ohm vaping at a later time without having to buy new gear. They also come with the rebuildable deck included so you can also build you own coils as you learn more.

Istick 30w and a natilus mini is where id be heading if i was starting up again. Has more potential for upgrading of tanks than a spinner kit would. Good luck with it.

Hello & welcome snowy I think you are right & it is to do with the juice as it may be a PG allergy & you need to go for an e-liquid with a higher VG content.

For me, it is not so much to do with which e-cig or which tank but more to do with what will give me a day long vape.
I want a set up that I can fill and sort out just before I go to bed at night and know that when I pick it up in the morning, I have a satisfying vape that will last me all day and into the evening and there will still be power and juice there at bedtime.
For that I have 2 Eleaf Istick 20w's and an Aspire Nautilus 5ml tank. One Istick is always fully charged and the other is in use.
For me, vaping is all about satisfaction and keeping it simple.

Thank you for all the advice, have seen the Istick recommended a lot so think might try that and mini nautilus. Where's the cheapest/most reliable place to buy them, pref in UK as would rather pay bit more and have it sooner as am off work for a week now so perfect time to try!
What pg/vg would you recommend? Was going to order some samples from joose juice to test.
I totally agree lobeydosser, I just want something simple that works and gets me off the stinkies, may venture more as time passes but the simpler the better at the moment!
Thanks again for all your help.

If you are going to order from Joose juice go for the 10ml samples at £1.50 each and get a variety of different ratios, maybe go 60/40, 50/50 and 40/60 and see how each one vapes for you.

Finding what works for you can be a bit of a journey. Don't worry about it if you have the odd ciggie while you're finding the best setup for you. It can take a bit of time, but as you say it has all moved on such a long way in the last couple of years. I duel fuelled for quite a long time until I discovered lung inhales on a subtank mini. That was the kit that allowed me to stop the fags completely. However, many people are very satisfied with mouth to lung vaping, we're all different. So take your time and try different setups, tanks, mods & juices whenever you have an opportunity. There will be something out there that hits the sweet spot for you, the trick is finding it

I think the worst time will be at lunch when I'm at work. I always go outside for my lunch and have 1 ( or 3) stinkies. For the past 18 months I have had chronic daily migraines and headaches (always have a headache and then migraine on top about 50% of the time) so i do love escaping for some quiet time at lunch and am a bit worried that the e cig won't hit the spot so that may be last ciggie to go!

Hi I have been vaping around 7 months and have reached a point where I am experimenting. I use nucigs snyper battery which lasts 2 days, I was using tank III but the pyrex body seperates from the base which is annoying at work so I shelled out and bought an anyvape peakomizer 2.0 and I am struggling!! First time I filled it ...it was all over my desk at work. I cannot set it up to run smoothly, I get lots of vape which drops off then I get burned popcorn or metallic flavour/taste. Hubby is fed up with me whinging. Can anyone advise???
