Greetings all, having waited patiently for my latest 100ml of Kreeds excellent brew to steep, I was chuffed to get started on it yesterday. Unfortunately this mix is a bit harsh on the throat. (7mg UK flavours nic) I have never had any problems with this nicotine before, but do remember it having a pinkish tinge. This is the first time I have stored it in the freezer. I have since read that decanting into glass bottles may be an
better idea. Is it to late to decant the 500ml bottle now? Can I salvage my juice by adding anything? What with Charlie's custard not being available I am struggling to find something to Vape untill I can get another batch of Kreed's on the go, with new nicotine if necessary. Any thoughts please?

becks Can you post up your mix pls inc pg/vg ratio, Harshness can come from too much nicotine i.e. an high percentage I cant see anything else in Kreeds that would do this, its very smooth and its the new york cheese cake taste that comes through strongest for me

Thanks for the response, I should have been a little more precise. The nic is 4 months old and has been in the freezer for 3 of them. I mix Kreeds at 70% vg 30%pg The nic base is vg. My nic content is 7mg. I will get some Vape wizard and give that a go. I didn't realise Charlie had released other brews, might be one there for me.(the hardest to please man in the world I'm told!) I'll get decanting.

I doubt if its the nic as i have soley used the same for the last year. ( and 3 ltr in the freezer) All nic base will have some tint to it, and does not detract from its use. Nic gone off will usually have a peppery smell or taste in your liquid,.
What is more likely, and i have found this especially with custards is you need to let it breathe overnight when mixed otherwise i have found you can get a chemically harsh vape.
Infact its a common reference on a FB forum i am on ( VHB) that just about every mix has a breathing time between 12-24hrs, then steeped up to 4 wks min.

I'm on the same forum and it's been discussed a few times, and must say that I agree. There are some alcohols in the concentrates that need to evaporate off, some flavours are worse than others. It can also leave the juice tasting harsh. If your juice has a slightly "chemical" smell or flavour, that could be the trouble. I tend to let my newly mixed juices have 24hrs with the cap off to try and reduce it. Sometimes needs a bit more of a shake & another 24 hours before the smell goes. Maybe worth a try?

Aaaah never thought of that, I do usually leave the top off for a while, but may have been distracted or something. I'll leave it off overnight and see if that improves things. Thanks, and once again all the smart dudes + (dudesses?) on here.
