When I moved here my little TV (not digital) worked okay. Then I added my HDD/Video thing that I use to record progs to watch later. It was all okay. Then one morning, I kept getting No Sync signal - can't get rid of it at all.
Any ideas or has it conked out? My friend tried it in his flat but just the same No Sync. I think I had that in the old flat a while ago but managed to get rid of it.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance. MMa ???

Try pressing the AV/Source button (the one that looks like a box with an a pierced arrow) and cycle through.
You may find that source is set to something else other than telly and that may cure it.

Was going to suggest the same as Macca as I had the same thing happen recently. I'd been trying to change the batteries, one handed, in my remote & I think I must have hit the source button in the process.

If you getting your telly through a digi box, it's probably to whatever sockets in the telly that HDD/Video thingy is connected to..There should be a legend next to the sockets telling you what it is..AV1/AV2 or some such..
It could also be a setting on the telly to tell it to switch from analogue to digital input. If you continue to have issues, please post the model numbers of the digibox and telly and I may be able to look up the instruction manuals online and make some suggestions.

Well Macca & Chrissie - went to friends to look at the TV. Really cannot find anything to match what you say ^^^^^^^^^ It is a MOGEN 15" LCD TV Model ML - 1508TN There are sockets for: PCL PCR AVL AVR POWER VGA VIDEO-VIDEO RF The TV lead only plugged into power socket, all the others empty. Ariel plugged in to its own socket. It does not have a digi box and the HDD/Video thingie is still in my flat! Everything we scrolled down to said the same thing NO SCYNC even the source one - it opens up Source but then NO SCYNC You have to remember you are talking to two oldies who don't know what the heck we are doing. Heeeelpppp MMa

Ok..Is the antenna actually getting a digital signal? You used this button to scroll through the options I take it: If it worked before with your PVR (video/HDD thingy) then plug the antenna into that and connect it to the telly and see if it works. In the meantime I'll hunt around for the instruction/service manuals. It was purchased from Sainsbury's I take it.

Update: I can't find an instruction manual and looks like Sainsbury's have closed the helpline for those tellys. Also looks like the Mogen TV's only have an analogue tuner. They are switching off all analogue signals and it's quite possible that this has already happened for your postcode. Please visit this website and input your postcode and house number: www.digitaluk.co.uk/It will give you the date or dates for the digital switchover. If the date has already passed you will need a digital receiver to receive terrestrial television. What that means is that you cannot get telly by simply plugging the antenna to the back of your telly. You can only receive telly through a digital capable box. Your PVR should be able to do that. So antenna into back of PVR and scart from PVR to back of telly and AV source set to wherever the scart is plugged into. You would then use your PVR remote to change channels etc., Hope that resolves your problem.

Hi Macca, I think the best thing for me to do is to dump this little TV and get a new one that is already digital or ready for the change over. I have been thinking about a bit bigger one anyway (I don't like the huge ones though).
From your link, it looks as if the change-over here starts in May, then something else in June. If you would like to look for yourself: removed address - gordy
Thanks very much for trying to help. No doubt, I will have to ask more questions when I get the new TV - unless they send a superduper installer with it!! (It's not fun getting old!!) Cheers MMa.
Just read your penultimate para again - it gave me a headache. LOL

You are right that your switchover begins in May in which case the telly should receive the basic 5 channels. Sorry if I confused you. Connections are: Antenna Cable---> PVR (HDD/Video thingy a.k.a Personal Video Recorder) SCART lead from PVR to Telly. Use remote to cycle through the sources. If it works, bonus, and more money for vaping.
