Hi All
Finally I've decided to take up vaping instead of my 20+ a day habit, so I'm on here looking for as much advice and recommendations as possible starting from scratch.

That's great! Well done for making a life saving choice. A few questions answered will help us advise. How much did/do you smoke? What size e-cig are you looking for? (small is not brilliant, but can get you started, mid size is more than enough for a beginner, please steer clear of the sub-ohm stuff, you can get that if you get on with it) What's your budget (remember the cost is one off, and not daily/weekly like tobacco) You will get all the help you need on this forum. We are all friendly, so don't be afraid to ask anything. We all started where you are now. And Courier131

I would say nautilus mini for your first tank.. Would you rather have replaceable batteries or the battery built into your mod? And juice maybe start with 12mg from rejuiced and nomnomz, there are more but they are a couple that are recommended by members on here.. Ohh and too AAEC Courier131 !!

Hello & welcome Courier131 For starters, do you mind what shape & form your vaping device looks like?

welcome aboard and congrats on making the decision..
Many of us started with the kit available in the chemists/24hour garage, and im afraid they are not the best options available.
While they work, they dont work as well as the sort of kit you will find discussed in here, most folk in here tend to use mods (battery boxes) and attomisers,
the eleaf isticks with their easy built in batteries and usb recharging are very popular 1st mods and everday out and about mods as they are relatively cheap (£20) and pretty reliable.
a very popular 'my first atomiser' option is a nautilus, its a tighter draw than most of the popular sub ohm attomisers or atty's out there but the tighter draw for a suck into mouth before taking into the lung is more akin to smoking a ciggy that the sub ohm open draw for direct to lung inhales that you may or may not progress into later ??
have a poke about and a good read of the posts in the beginners section as they are very well written.. and dont feel dumb asking any Q's we have all been there and the only dumb Q's are the ones that remain unasked is the general feeling in here..

Hi
So I'm smoking roughly 20 a day, don't really mind the size and shape, cost shouldn't be an issue but Id rather spend out on decent kit straight off than trying out smaller stuff and then upgrading later on.

Something like the eGo one kits would be great for starting out, dead simple just fill the tank and push the button away you go.

myepack is a well liked vendor here - free delivery for over £ 50 - and very quick delivery too - the nautilus mini is a good idea - I also love the protank 2 with the air flow control ideally don't go for anything ciggalike - generally they won't give you a good vaping experience but whatever atty or tank you buy get enough spare coils as well liquids: the dekang from myepack are decent starter juices - don't go too low on nicotine - it's not the nicotine, which is harmful - I suggest - start with 18mg and try a fe different flavours

I'd echo the other comments regarding a mini nautilus along with an istick 30w and a few (4-5) different flavors (of several hundred available!) at 18mg.
All in around £60 - £70 and next day delivery is the norm for myepack.co.uk
Once you are into it then there are a raft of possibilities graciously provided by our friends in China... an un-treatable malaise called shineyitis.

Hello Courier131 and welcome to the forum 30W istick and a nautilis mini is a great place to start, not too advanced but very capable. At 20+ ciggies a day you should be looking at 18mg ejuice, or 12mg at the lowest to satisfy the nicotine craving. There is a multitude of flavours and trying to find one that replicates your regular smoke may be the hardest part if that's what your looking for. Lots of people abandon the tobacco taste (myself included) and instead go for a variety of mints fruits and desert flavours instead. Finding the type of flavours you can get on with may be the hardest part in the beginning.

I'd suggest the istick 30watt but I'd go with the ICLEAR 30s tank. Very good and one still in my vape rotation. IMHO more flavour than the very good mini nautilus and again just IMO a better vape. Good luck and welcome
