Noob - When can I expect the cough?

Well, I've ordered a Riva 1100.

Today I told the nurse doing my blood test that I was a non-smoker - that felt quite good

Having a bit of a dry throat today but I'm putting that down to stopping the analogues and getting used to vaping instead.

All PG juices give me a dry throat. You need to up your liquid intake.
After vaping for a while I find that PG/VG blends are much less harsh
and nicer to vape.

Thanks Dom. Do you mean keep my cartomisers more topped up? I've just been filling them when there's no vapour coming out ??? I have a cigalike at the moment.

I meant you should drink more fluids - PG is drying

But you should also keep your cartos wet - try and
avoid drying them right out as the wadding burns and
taints them forever.

Oh, I see! I drink loads of fluid, but might have been a bit on the low side right enough. I have difficulty figuring out when to fill up my cartos - I only notice when there's no puff

You'll get to recognise the signs of when a carto needs topping up Kibby.

A bit of practise/experience/trial & error, makes a world of difference.

Little bit of a cough and some phlegm today. Drinking plenty of fluid so hopefully will get rid of it soon.

Been vaping for a week and not had a fag since Wed (and that was only the one). Still feeling very proud of myself

Some of the research I've done mentioned vapers getting a bit funny on some cleaning products. Went on a bit of a manic cleaning spree in my kitchen this morning to get the smoking grunge off the tiles - perhaps that's why vapers get the vapours...they clean madly at first

I had much more energy after quitting the analogues, probably because I was no longer anesthetizing myself with carbon monoxide.

Yay, thanks to Jason cos I got my Riva today! I have the first battery charging and can't wait to get vaping on it

Now to figure out how much to put into the Vision Ego Clearomiser - it says to add up to 1.6 ml, but it appears to be marked up to 6ml ???

You don't need to wait for the battery to charge, they ship with a factory charge. Just hook up the one you're not charging and go for it.

I have just started trying the Clearomisers. Unscrew the top and tilt the clearomiser and pour in as much or as little juice as you want. Screw the mouthpiece back on and drip a couple of drops of liquid into the middle to 'prime' it and vape away!

Once the liquid is in and the mouthpiece screwed on it is leakproof, so it can be stored on it's side if you want to. I stored mine upright and the wick dried out as it's at the top, so lying down seems a better option.

No joy - tried putting the other battery together with the clearomiser and pressed the button, but nothing lit up and no vape ???

Oh well, half 9 tonight I can have my first 20min vape and then charge it for another hour and then good to go, apparently

Ah... these batteries have a power on/power off function. Press the button three times in quick succession to turn it on, same again to turn it off

Some of the batteries switch off and on with 3 clicks and some with 5. Try that

Thank you so much guys. I thought I had tried the quick pressing, but obviously I wasn't fast enough, lol. I have my stainless steel Riva with a green clearomiser filled with methol and it's heavenly
