Hmm new here myself but i do think Car147 threw his toys out the pram, yes i do agree GB have there faults and yes he did get mugged off by them over the tank he was sent.
But to storm off in a huff seems a bit OTT, stay and fight your ground ok so it might ruffle a few feathers and a few grumpy/snotty words may be said between members.
Is that not what forums are for discussions and differences of opinions between people who have a common interest.
Then when its all done and dusted we all sit back and have a large together.
I do hope he come back as its just words on a screen its nowt personal well not to me anyway live and let live i say.

I saw what car147 wrote and I can see where hes coming from, I myself haven't had a problem with GB in the past but he may have done. GB is being praised alot everywhere here(which I'm not saying is wrong, as theres some great deals!) I think maybe there should be a thread category just for gearbest, which users can unsubscribe from seeing the threads posted ect..

I think there have been more than enough negative posts to show that the forum isn't a "GB appreciation forum".

I've pulled up & tagged Isabel on several occasions & pondered about removing GB's vendor status. However, the feedback from the members has always been that there would be far more problems with out Isabelle's help.

I partly placed my first order with them due to the price, but also to test them out. I posted about my experience as I was gobsmacked about how quickly (in my case) I received the item I ordered.

I'm gutted that Carl has left us - please come back Carl.

As a defender of GB in the thread/discussion regarding the fruit tank/harvest tank debacle perhaps i should shoulder some blame here however my attitude is coming from the idea 'you catch more flies with honey....' and not wanting to alienate isabel22 who does tend to sort out 99.9% of issues brought to her attention to a satisfactory conclusion..

I consider the loss of a member over this as a terrible result. and am willing to backpedal as much as neccesary to bring one of the believers back to the fold

Shame on Me and perhaps us for letting it get so far out of hand..

Can any mod email our pal with a sincere Mia Culpa from me and the forum as a whole??

Awww crap i started that thread.
I will just say i specifically listed the orders i had placed with gearbest at that point, i did not pick out random orders they were ALL the orders i had placed and 8 out of 10 either never went through at all or required me to chase them up because they did not ship in the timeframe advertised.
That was my personal experience with this company of course others are going to be different and people can make their own decision on whether they want to order from there or not.

I hope Car147 comes back, you shouldn't take it personally buddy some peoples experience with the company are going to be different to the experience you or i have had, nobody is calling anyone dishonest or a liar they're just conveying their personal experience when shopping there.

That might come under the general heading of abuse of power/authority @kopiert .

It may be more likely that some people on here were in touch with car by e-mail or other forums/groups and can pass on the news.

When a member deletes their account, it removes all info on their account (apart from IPA's), so there is no way I can contact Carl
