Well tomorrow it will be 2 weeks since my first kit arrived and i jumped into the world of "vaping" and ive certainly been on the up and down.

As your all aware and sick of hearing by now i was a 40 a day roll up man and after 5 days of starting to vape i was Analogue free (last wednesday was my first day just vaping) which wasn`t my original intention as all i wanted to do was cut down. I`m now nearly through day 8 and ive been having some good and bad days (today is a bad one) where i could of quite easily thrown my E-cig across the room and grabbed the baccy and rolled a fag but ive managed to refrain so far.

So far i`ve gone from the standard cotton wool carts that came with the kit to little mini tank thingys and now i`m on cartomisers which ive found best so far ( until the Vision Ego Rainbow arrives with the order i placed this afternoon with Jason at Vapescape along with a new battery/passthrough and a couple more juices to add to the 2 loads of pick'n'mix im already working my way through)

Ive noticed my juice tastes different from one day to the next which as ive read on here is quite normal for newbies who given up smoking to experience and it also tastes completly different when in cotton wool cart/tank/cartomiser.I`ve also noticed my sleeping has got better and i feel more refreshed when i wake up (although that could be just in my head).

I`ve recieved praise and pats on the back from people saying well done for giving up and how they wish they could do it and ive recieved micky taking from others, I also found myself going outside with the smokers and having a vape whilst out the other night even though the place where i was said "Vape away"

Anyway i`d like to apoligise for my little blow out above but i felt i needed to write down my current feelings in the hope i perk myself up a bit today as i dare say a lot of you have gone through similar feelings.

I`d also like to thank anyone who has said hello / replied to the couple of threads ive started on here and also Jason for his out of this world service ( i placed an order this afternoon with a little message at the bottom and within minutes he replied to my query and said order is being sorted and posted tomorrow), as without this forum to browse through daily and keep me ocupied with swotting up on tips and hints on what to get next and how to do things i think id of gone back to analogues already.

good that man, taste will keep buggering you around for a while but it'll get better.
I was on a good 50 a day and found it relatively easy going (guess the time was good for me)
I do still get the panic mode if my battery is low or dont have enough juice etc and have the odd moment when i think i want a ciggie but only for a split moment
it all gets there just give it time
After a couple of weeks of vaping, i lit my wifes fag for her and then realized why i didnt like the yukky things

Like you i didn't expect to stop smoking, it just happened and like you, I sometimes have bad vaping days. Today has been one of them, some of my juice has gone so runny it's been flooding cartos, really annoying

I too have found myself in certain circumstances going outside to vape with the smokers, esspecially at work. Going outside gives you a break!

Anyway, sounds like you have a lot to look forward to in the post you'll like the battery/passthrough, very handy indeed

Isn't it strange that women get interest, or maybe the odd s*d that I couldn't be bothered, while men get either well done or mickey taking. The latter being extremely juvenile I'm sure we all agree.

Can't speak for others, but I get bad vaping days, I'm having one today, the juice tastes burnt every so often and it's disgusting. But, I have no desire whatsoever to have a fag. Maybe at one time in the early days it might have crossed my mind, but not any more, that stage passes, though I do 'threaten' it sometimes when things go badly wrong in life, but I don't mean it.
It does get better, just hang on in there and to hell with what anyone else thinks. It's your life, your choice.

Well done CG certainly sounds like you're going in the right direction. I don't think there's a person on here who hasn't / doesn't have bad vaping days, but think about all the fags you've not had now and give yourself a pat on the back.

I've never had the slightest wish to return to the rollies although sometimes I can't taste the juice so well. I keep two ecigs on the go with different flavours - when one 'goes off' I change to the other. When I return to the first I find I can taste it again. Does the same happen when I'm eating food? I shall have to test myself to see; it's a strange phenomenon.

Since vaping properly I've not really been interested in smoking analogues, I think its all the different flavours of the e-juices out there.

There are times when the tastebuds go a bit wonky, someone on here, I think it was Disco Des said that menthol was best for those days I just load up a carto of menthol and vape that, thankfully they've been few and far between

If it's any consolation CG I have mentioned in other threads , my taste buds are for the want of a better word boolaxed after 35 years of hammer from cigs , I'm now in my 15th month cig free , I have to switch flavours often , due to the fact I can't taste them after a few days , I also carry with me throughout the day at least 3 flavours , menthol being the one that lifts my buds to taste other flavours , I have just filled a carto of a flavour I loved and fell out with 9 months ago and I'm lovin it again , it has gone very black from a super long steep but it tastes lush theres always a bright side to everything

Hi Quezz. I'm new to vaping too and I read your story with interest. I didn't expect to give up the cigs at all, but have without any qualms. I haven't told anyone apart from the two shopkeepers who usually sell my cigs!

It sounds like you're doing the right things, but there are bound to be ups and downs - it's helpful to me to know how others are doing and our experiences will help other newbies in future. This seems like the right place to learn and vent and make new buddies.

Unfortunatly we all have bad vaping days, even the people who have been vaping for years. Vaping is much more than just lighting up a ciggie. It sometimes can demand the patience of a saint.

It has been a total god send for me. Before I found this forum, I had been quit for about 6 months, but was never happy about it. I used to love smoking & really missed it. I was so glad when I came across e-cigs & even the good days now outweigh the bad.

Vaping can be paradise but it can also be hellish. However, it is worth sticking with it for sure. Also forums like this keep your spirits up & help you carry on.

I know what you mean about juices tasting weird. I'll love a juice then next thing I know i hate it lol, hope my tastebuds sort themselves out soon.

I still go outside when I vape, it's just habit for me.
