Well worth a look, a great well backed website, loads of information and a great strategy, just getting off the ground. I can't find the wording of the actual petition, if it is just "opt out of TPD or I will vote to opt out of EU" then once again this is another POS.
If you don't pin them down on specific points of order they fob you off with a stock answer to nothing in general as we have seen already.
Yes the website is snazzy, but I do not like the idea of giving them my e-mail, name and postcode to enter onto the .gov website on my behalf. They could make a fair amount of money selling 10,000+ sets of data like that. They should provide a link to the secure gubmint website where you can do it for yourself.
Sorry but I will not be signing this one.

this petition leaves them free to create their own version which will likely be fully written by big pharma/tobacco so no I wont sign it
the problem with these petitions is they don't offer an alternative, and currently the reason the government is looking to implement the bits of the TPD it agrees with are stupid things like people putting titanium dioxide into e-juice for the colouring, battery units that explode either whilst charging or whilst in use, I'm all for freedom of choice but some regulation is required so newcomers don't fall into some of the pitfalls that have cropped up so far, I looked into vaping several years back because I wanted to quit smoking but hadn't been able to do it with NRT, I held back until after I found a ce marked product and learned where I could get the juices from etc because I didn't want to be one of those dumb schmucks who's device blew up and nearly killed them.
I will hold off putting my name to a further petition until after I have seen the governments draft proposal which has so far not be forthcoming, oh and I'm probably going to vote to leave the EU regardless of what nanny state laws get introduced by them in the mean time, I would suggest those of you who are serious about protecting vaping and vapers from needless regulations do the same,
I understand the safety case for limiting the size of the bottles down to 10ml I don't necessarily understand why limiting the tank size to 2ml is also necessary, I would welcome a regulation that insists all spares for a device must be readily available (like seals for tanks some of which despite being on the market for a while are seriously difficult to obtain) I would also welcome regulation on build quality for products sold here in the UK, so long as it doesn't also limit our ability to choose to buy stuff from abroad that fails all those quality tests and put ourselves at risk through personal choice
I realise some of you will feel differently and indeed I can understand that, perhaps Darwin's law should be allowed to claim more of the chronically stupid but its them who if they embrace vaping will keep the prices low regardless of regulatory processes by making everything cheap mass market products, 2.5million vapers is a very small market considering an adult population of over 50 million, limiting the sale of vape gear to over 16's or under 16's on prescription only would also be a good change to the current eu tpd but that's something else that needs to be defined properly, just like most of the current list of scaremongering does.
in short until there is a proper petition proposal for an alternative set of UK legislation that makes changes to the TPD proposal but still implements the spirit of it no matter how many petitions are put forwards none of them will make any difference to what happens

The law changed on the 1st October, restricting the sales of e-cigarettes and e-liquid to over 18s only

this petition leaves them free to create their own version which will likely be fully written by big pharma/tobacco so no I wont sign it This is backed by the following... Simple Vape Co. Flavour Vapour Vape Club Lonjas UK Evapo Aspire Beard Vape Co. COV Kangertech Space Jam Halo And many others... I would be amazed if they sponsored such a petition (and they have donated money to the cause) only to hand it over to big Pharma/Tobacco

As long as Flavour Art aren't sponsoring it, remember they publicly backed the TPD and will never get any of my money.

That is the petition and what you are signing. GeoffUK “I want the UK to opt-out of the e-cigarette rules of the TPD and I will vote to leave the EU if this is not done.” The petition is to David Cameron. It`s not you gov or any of the other petition sites. It`s direct to David Cameron as far as I know. It`s obviously designed to appeal to politicians desire for more votes.
2.5 million may not be very significant against 50 million, but it can be a result changing amount in the Europe vote.
Two of the best vaping advocates available are supporting this.
Nobody has to donate money to this cause, it is completely optional.
