For me the 2.5 mini is the best looking Provari ever made. However it's really not for sub homing as its min resistance is 0.9 ohms and although that is technically sub ohm img you won't be able to achieve the max 15w output at 0.9.
The 2.5 is also vv only, non of that fancy VW on the 2.5.
You can now buy them brand new in any colour for $79 so don't pay too much 2nd hand.
If you need to sun ohm and still want a Provari then get a P3 if 20watts is enough or a radius for 40watts. Any 22mm tank will be fine on any provari although if you get a 2.5 you really need the tapered beauty ring or the hippo.
Hope that helps.

also if you are unaware the older provaris can only use button top batts, not sure if thats the case on the raidus and the p3 though

The p3 and the classic (non tapered top) will both take flat topped batteries but the provari 2.5 and 2.0 only take nipple topped (as Geordie mentioned) the newer models can sub ohm but the older version (with tapered top) is better with protanks and aerotanks at 19mm or a beauty ring to fit for 22mm atomisers and then its builds above 1ohm, like a kayfun.
For non rebuildables I generally use the mini nautilus on my older tapered top provari 2.5 and my classic has full sized nautilus. I use subtanks only on my P3 as it'll fire down to 0.5 and my radius uses goblin mini's as the small form factor suits mod.
The 2.0 and 2.5's have an extension ring that allows you to take 18500 batteries but you would need to buy additional parts to fit a 18650 battery as the older model takes 18350 or 18500 - with extra base.... unless you are a MTL vaper a older model probably isnt what suits you?

Thanks for the much needed advice Pepperty Greg geordie_vaperI think that I only want one due to never having one, if that makes sense? Are they worth the premium compared to the vast amount of mods on the market or would you guys spend on something different but just as good? Cheers Dave

tbh years ago they were the best made mod out but i think nowadays things have improved and you can get a excellent mod that does more for half the price (evic mini vtc)

Love to see a picture of that set up Pep if you could . . . . . I still haven't talked myself completely out of buying a Radius.

Sure, will add Perpetua But can you handle the beauty.... ? The only quirk I find is its really a left handed mod? as the way I hold it obscures the info window when I fire using my right..... not that its an issue! It's just that I wrap my hand around entire unit

As for best tank with older model provari (2 and 2.5) I'd still say mini nautilus? There's my three lined up like soldiers. I'm sad to say that it looks like I've borked my provari 2.0 its intermittent firing after I accidental threw it on the tiles and the top came off, maybe fitting it back on with a hammer was unwise? I feel it needs a state burial for its stalwart work as my almost bombproof mod I shall miss it dearly, but it'll be kept just as a reminder of teh love I've had from (and to) it

A 2.5 that doesn't get used, 2 P3s and a radius. These days the last 3 are the only mods use. Ive got loads of other mods and started out on the high watts route but decided to return to lower watts as I didn't see the point in high watts and high juices consumption. I also tried TC but didn't rate it. I'm confident all my provaris will outlast most other models the on the market. If you want to vape beyond 20/40 watts and/or use temp control then Provaris aren't for you, otherwise I'd highly recommend them ahead of anything else.

So that wouldn't be an issue for me.
