Stan Stevens... That takes me back... Shocking how so many of us have had to hang up our boots. F#*@! I miss bugs in me teeth Just a quick one of the mech front... (we all need to understand mechs in the event of Armageddon! - sorry - old interweb radio NWS skit ) Always, for heavens sake, always check for shorts and be very mindful of the nature of the button at the bottom... You really don't want some spring collapsing and a continuous firing mod.

Or just getting jammed against something in your bag, pocket or desk draw.
I used to think it was a bad thing that locking rings are not so common, but maybe that is good as they only work if you remember them and the don't come lose in your trouser pocket when you are walking like a couple of mine have.

Yeah i've had that happen on my Phenom the locking ring is a pain in the rear, it only takes a quarter turn to lock and unlock and it's very loose, curiously they made that a selling feature. Sometimes i'll be using it and accidentally nudge it while taking a pull and i'll go to push the button for another pull and the damned thing has locked itself. It would be better off without the lock at all the button is recessed slightly anyway so it can't fire when standing on it's end.

ive used a gizmo 17 since they came out and in that time (about 2 years) ive had one booboo when i put the batt in wrong way and it auto fired for about 5 mins and melted a mini fogger a wee bit tbh ive seen more regulated devices causing probs when not miss used than mechs, anybody rem the clouper mini fun i dont have a boldy about ohms laws but what i do buy good batts that i know the min resistance thats supposedly safe to fire at and stick well above it
if you want to chase clouds then the dna will be a lot easier to get good results on as a good single 650 batt can only give about 80/90 watts safely and not for very long if you want something small, cheap and reliable then get a mech to try but dont go daft super sub ohm(below 0.2) 18650 batt (vt4 or sansung 25r) they say 0.2 but tbh i like to stick above 0.3 18500 batt 0.8 18350 batt 1 ohm there is prob peps screaming at me because i dont know ohms law and yes there has been some batt improvements in the amps but these are what i stick to till i get some better batts
awaits to get shot

Lucky b'stard @broadblaster You found a woman who likes bikes. I constantly hanker for one again, but the missus don't like 'em!

Nice collection there.... More than a few grins (those R1's did tend to scuff a bit) - I particularly like the old KZ750 (err, KZ? I'd have sworn Z)
