I too started on the pen type units and got a mini nauti (its such a nice unit) although I went with the istick 30w, i run mine at 10.5w with the standard 1.8ohm coil and with the 1.2ohm i run at 14w

i started on the second hole and moved up the 3rd hole when i swap coils, having started on the tobacco juices (i actually now dislike them a lot) i have moved on to custard, menthol and fruit liquids, and i'm awaiting delivery of some more tanks and batteries (one of which is the forever 30 mod as well) if your like me then you will find you migrate off the baccy flavours quite fast as well, remember if you don't like something you can always mix it with something else you don't like that much, i initially ordered 1 of everything from liquid in the same 12mg strength (don't order more than 8 bottles in any one package or the postage goes up) which equated to a weeks worth of baccy in terms of price and i found that i didn't like 8 out of the 24 bottles, and some i liked a lot more than others, the ones i like will probably last me 3 months though and th eons i don't will go int the bin after i try them again and still don't like them, in the meantime ive also ordered bulk liquids from bluestar in the flavours i like (menthols and custard for nic, and several zero nic fruit) although that was a black firday deal so a lot cheaper than normal prices /

anyhow for me i found it matters less about the ratio than it does about the wattage and the way i vape with that liquid, i breath kinda shallow anyway so rarely take more than a 2 sec draw off the tube and then inhale that down (just as i would with a fag) its right for me and it removes any throat hit with a high pg liquid, so don't be afraid to do things your own way, so long as it works for you embrace it and be happy, every day of the fags is a good day

oh and i smoked fags for the first few months (a lot less than i had been though) once i started vaping and that was mostly due to having the wrong liquids /liquids i didn't like and bad batteries and bad attys, which is probably the same mistake a lot of people make and some here tried to tell me although at the time i was convinced it was fine ........

Well emwat. Just to confuse u a little more I mix my own e-liquid & only buy shop stuff if I'm caught short out & about. Why? Saves me cash & I prefer it. Simples. I have more control as well. It's like loo roll. Not something I wish to run out of!!!

I don't know where you live (Town) but if you feel comfortable with giving this information I'd suggest you let us know what Town you are in. There may be a female member that would be happy to meet you somewhere public and spend a few minutes with you explaining and showing you how to use your set up. As they would have no commercial interest you're sure to get some good unbiased advice, the advice you got from where you bought your Dovpo seems to have not been good.

Im in Stamford lincolnshire i have a feeling its now more the eliquid than the device i must admit i did enjoy it more when the temp was on but can see why not to do it lol. I think maybe once i find the taste i can get on with this whole process may be easier. The vivid menthol is 18 high pg i bought menthol as thought it wouldnt be so bad but it is. Going to order several samples later. What woulld i be better looking at for a nicotine hit would it be a 50/50 24 mg? Also i dont understand the terminology of some of the things so i see there is a page i can read up on. Thank you

The terminology is tough to get a grip on at first. You'll get it soon enough.

Nicotine hit is one thing. Throat hit is another. They are connected.

24mg is strong liquid, sure and even at low power should be noticable. 24mg is possibly too much depending on the power of the hardware you have. The ratio of PG to VG makes difference. VG is smoother and PG is harsher. *Personally* I don't take much notice and get cross when people go on (and on) about suggesting new vapers invest in high VG liquids when they find vapour harsh. Vapour is harsh, that's why the first week on a crappy supermarket e-cig seems to do the job.

Just a word, take it how you will. The shop ecigwizard is based in your area and they no doubt have stores. You might find a shop - their idea of letting you try liquids could vary from one shop to another. We have an ecigwizard stall in our shopping centre. People seems to use it and it's good they are selling decent hardware. For me, the liquids are dreadful and quite silly money for what you get. They talk a good game, but all their equipment is too expensive so tread carefully.
A local chap paid £21 for 3 liquids and 3 coils (one for each flavour, as they recommended). The liquids went in the bin and the the coils were £2.50 each, which is just ridiculous.

As you can tell, I really don't like them.

MrDJ can i just ask what the difference is with the eliquids? im getting confused a lot now lol.... why do people say dont buy the ones from local shops and petrol stations am just curious as to why this is? I may sound daft but i cant see where the difference is and what i should really be looking for when buying one. I think im happy with just a normal one? i dont know, im going to order some samples tonight. I understand the taste difference obviously i quite like fruit and iv tasted banana which is nice too so am slowly getting there my liquid menthol now tastes like burning took me ages to figure out what a coil was luckily i have a spare which came with the machine!! I guess this is cos ive been using it all wrong and messing with the settings...trial and error i guess i was hoping i could just buy a posh machine and quit the fags hahah maybe not

no worries, thats why were here to try and help and advise but its quite difficult on a forum.

personally i would never buy from a pound shop, petrol station, market stall etc as we just have no idea where they come from.

now saying that LiQuid which is also a pound a bottle sell thousands upon thousands a week and they are mixed in a class 8 clean room > www.onepoundeliquid.com/help.html (click on PICTURES & CERTIFICATION)  which give you more confidence that they are mixed correctly instead of a sweat shop or a shed.

the links i posted above are used by almost all of us. i still use drip drop and have had 25 30ml bottles off them now. they are meant to be bringing a new range of cereals and yoghurts out but were still waiting.

due to tastes being subjective what one person likes the other may find it kak so it is trial and error finding what suites youre tastebuds.

ive spent almost 2 grand in 10 months since i gave up and ive had about 40 flavors that just didnt suite me but ive had over 2000ml that im stockpiling thanks to the new law coming into place next May.

just to give you an idea, this is last weeks delivery.

Wow im def a noob haha. I automatically presumed as petrol st and shops were selling them they wouldnt be bad!! Am just online now looking at the links. Price wise i would pay whatever it takes if i hit the one i really take to so might just order samples from each site and stock pile like you lol!! Thanks for the help though im getting it slowly ????. However next will be new coils i imagine. Keeping me busy if nothing else . Oh and sub oomfin whatever it is lol ?
