Hello everyone!!
Im looking for some expert advice please!! I have been dabbling in ecigs for a while trying different pen types and not found them any use in helping me kick the fags!! Ive just bought a nautilus mini with a forever 30 box but in all honesty i dont have a clue what im doing!! I have realised that i have been inhaling wrong and am currently working on techniques and so far have made slight progress. I guess what im asking is what my machine does im finding it difficult to understand wattage etc and also i have been buying vivid liquid which doesnt taste very nice. I really want to stick to the new machine as i do find i get the kick but the coughing and inhaling is difficult. Any advice anyone can give would help me im sure!!! Thanks x

What nicotine strength liquid are you using, the higher the nicotine strength the harsher the throat hit.
PG will also cause a harsher throat hit so try a liquid that is 50/50 PG/VG or 40/60 PG/VG.

As for the mod, start it on a low setting, take a draw, turn it up a little take another and repeat until you find a level which suits you.

dont panic as you will get there and finally kick the cigs.
35 year smoker here and bought a pen type in february and not touched one since. i upgraded to a istick30 and a mini nautilus a couple of weeks later.

firstly ive never hear of that mod (battery) so is this what you have www.vapourcigarette.co.uk/forever-30-ecig-mod

the mini nautilus is a mouth to lung tank so just like smoking. sub ohming will come later down the road as its totally different.
with a mini nautilus you can go upto 24mg nicotine but the average starter starts on 18mg
the juice i used was mainly 50/50 mix.
as said above what mix and strength are you using.
also more importantly what wattage have you got the battery set too. nautilus shouldnt go above 14watts or it will just burn the coil out and thats where you get the crap taste.

emwat - A heads-up for www.joosejuice.co.uk as well - great selection of juices, and you can request the ratio of PG to VG and strength that you want, as it's mixed fresh to order. For that reason, stick with the lighter fruity and mint/menthol types first if you want to vape it straight away; the dessert flavours including custards and tobacco need a few weeks tucked away somewhere cool and dark to mature properly. Great juices though!

Coughing is not that unusual, many people take a while to get used to vapour and the PG.

Yes, you should ditch the Vivid liquid.

1) They are a tobacco company (tobacco co.s are anti proper e-cigs, even though 'sort of' they sell them)
2) It's nasty and expensive.


I'm vaping some lovely Fruity liquid today.. it was £5.60 for 30 ml. How much is Vivid these days?

There is an e-cig war out there. Vivid need to lose.... preferably along with BLU and E-Lites.
BLU are supporting the TPD 2016, which might well ban refillable e-cigs. They are the worst offender.

Hi thanks everyone still wading through the responses the bottom part of my machine says dovpo forever 30 and the top is aspire nautical mini?? i have set to 300c and 1.0watts i think i can change the temperature somehow but not quite getting how high/low to start off with. If i go higher i presume it makes it warmer taste? The vivid is £4.99 and i bought a menthol as thought it might not be so harsh to begin with but it tastes awful and makes my lips tingle lol!!! Ive been practising and have realised that i cant use it like i would a fag but if i inhale keep it in my mouth and just let a little take back i have less coughing but dont seem to be hitting the spot as yet. So what is classed a eliquid? How would i tell quality and is it just trial and error with different companies? Thanks so far everyone x

Temperature least of your concerns. Switch it off till you are more experienced

Some things (top bits eg your aspire nautical mini) it can really do damage to . I don't bother with it. A lot of us don't. You will only give yourself a headache!!!!

Check out the best watt range for your top bit (aspire nautical mini) - I have no idea as I don't have one

Sub-ohming (vaping too high watts/power - same thing) can wait - it's a world I have not entered!!! Many have - I just choose not to

So many variables but that's what I would concentrate on for now emwat

i hope im wrong here.

you say you have it set at 300c

that is temperature control mode and is very dangerous using a nautilus mini as they are not for TC mode.

the nautilus mini coils are either 1.6 or 1.8 ohm and the average wattage is 8-14watts max.

have you got a link to the dovpo forever 30 so we can check.

Did the kit not come with an instruction manual?
If it did then please read it and find out how to switch the device to VW or Power mode.
Once you have temp control off set it to 8w try that if it's not to your taste turn it up to 9w try again, keep increasing it by 1w at a time until you find a vape you are satisfied with.

This is a problem with temp control devices, lots of manufacturers send them out with the temp control setting on by default.
